Riding the craze of reintroduction...

Goh here, hobby noob, late bloomer, just started the hobby on late 2010.

Like painting, normally taking damn long to paint one unit of army. Zero game under my belt (yet), collecting Chaos Space Marine (for the Laughing, Thristing Gods)

Avid old school metal fans, enjoy reading Black Library, Fav writer : Chuck Palahniuk, Stephen King, Harlan Ellison and Peter David. Strangely, I can read/write but I don't speak English well. Have a small collection of Graphic Novels (mostly Marvel and DC) and Mangas too (HATE moe character).

Talkative online but socially awkward in real life. Normally lurk around forum 80% of the time, but only reply to post during lunch time and non office hour.

Have a blog : 40knoobtonoob.blogspot.com , which normally update weekly, nothing useful inside though.

Planning to pop my gaming cherry in next couple of weeks, lookin for a opponent that willing to goes through a game or two with me (which basically know nothing about playing the game~_~")

I think I have around 1750 (should be more, a couple of raptor is WIP and a defiler is unassembled/unpainted...)

@rkidz : Hey there, ha, the only one time I've manage to get a "game" is on Magacon, when Alvin guide me to an intro game (which he basically spoon feed me how many dice need to be roll and how much is the to-hit, armor save =p)

Sure, if there is a chance let's paint together @ Hobby Forge (maybe even a game or two ^^"), though I doubt I can really impart any tips =p I'm still learning too, if you need legit hobby tips, Deathkorp, Khairul, Alvin, Vuel, MrChaos, Dann (to name a few) is the resident go-to guys =D

dude, my best advice is start small. The game is full of advanced rules you don't need to remember until much later in your gaming career.

To know the basics, start out with 500pts. 1 HQ, 2 troops, that sorta thing.

It may sound dull, but trust me, that's how you learn the rules.

Tip: Do not play with Joe on your first game, ever. Ask yip, he's still having nightmares of his first game.
