Cannot leave the hobby

Hey people. I have been in the GW hobby since 1994 when I got the Warhammer Fantasy 4th Edition box (the Goblins/High Elves box). I still got the sprues, cardboard buildings, templates, and all... looking at them brings back memories. I used to play at Games Castle at Damansara Jaya with a focus on Specialist range (Necromunda in particular).

I never had the privilege of having a long stint in the hobby being caught up with something in some form or the other. But I had the privilege of continuing in the hobby in various different periods of my life, for example playing in the GW Battle Bunker when I was in the US and also attend the Warhammer 40,000: Apocalypse midnight launch. I regret selling my Special Edition Limited Edition Apocalypse backpack and 2000pt Tyranid army. But I always find myself back in the GW hobby.

But now I am back with 40K, and in two to three weeks amassed at close-to-2000 point Dark Angels Deathwing/Ravenwing army. Will be painting and getting them tabletop ready soon. Look forward to joining the community in games!

If I can commit to it, I also intend to restart Warhammer Fantasy and build an Orc and Goblin army.

I very much miss, and am still into the Specialist range in the form of Blood Bowl and Necromunda. I still have my Blood Bowl Orc team, Chaos team, and Necromunda Escher gang miniatures, and would very much like to one day meet up with others who still play BB and Necromunda.

Hey Taikor. Welcome back to the hobby. I kinda know how you feel, as I'm sure most of the guys and gals here would agree. I have a Ravenwing army too, and building a Deathwing and 3rd Company DA. Hope to see you soon.

i get where you are coming from started this hobby at 14 now im 30 and i think my obsession tends to get the better of me even when in real honesty i got not much time for this hobby as of late... but that does not stop me from building my own game room, 2000 point tau, 4000 point chaos space marines, 2500 point DE, and my new pet death guard army ^^

Yeah Paxter, I got into the hobby at 14 just like you, when I was in Primary 6 during the UPSR examinations. I remember going to GC at the Atria and they had games of the Advanced HeroQuest and Space Hulk. But the new edition of Blood Bowl hit then, and everybody was into it then. Hahah man how time flies.

And yeah spunky, I got some Tacticals lying about as well, so 1st DW, 2nd RW, and 3rd company are available options for army building. The Dark Vengeance Terminators are beautiful sculpts. Cutting up their arms and customizing them with TH & SS, and LC from the close combat Terminator squad box. Can't wait for the new DA Codex coming out next year!

Wish I started on this hobby earlier ... but couldn't afford it then ... even now it's tough on the wallet.
