 The Sun Pirates Rides Again!!

Had two games yesterday and both was a tough fight!
 
1st game was Kill Points against Eldar (1750 pts). The worst mission for my DE. Vect failed to seize the Initiative.
i. The new wave serpent is real good. My paper-thin transport can't do anything against it's shooting since they ignores cover. On the other hand, my lance failed everytime. Nothing can say lah.
ii. Eldar spells are very good as always. My opponent has +1/-1 armour, fortune/mis, invisibility, guide.. banyak gila sampai pening aku.
iii. Dark reapers are very good. All their shots ignore cover at 48 inches and blessed with Invisibility some more. I managed to kill all except the Exarch.
iv. Vect wiped out a Wraithguard unit in combat.
v. As expected, I suffer badly and conceded on turn 3 since the Eldar already leading by 9-3.
vi. It wasn't so fun, but the player isn't to be blame. KP games sucks!! Mad
 
2nd game was the awaited grudge match against Shaun (1850 pts). The mission was Emperor's will and again, the Vect failed to seize the initiative.
i. Shaun's alpha strike was very devastating. He destroyed 2 Ravagers, 1 Raider, the Dias of Destruction, and a Trueborn unit. Lucky I put all my troops in reserves. Otherwise they would have suffer from the explosion.
ii. 3x5 Troops (1 blaster each) came in turn two via Webway portal. Supported by the Venoms and Voidraven that also came from reserves somehow changes the game and my DE start pushing the DAs back.
iii. Vect single handedly destroyed a 10 man BA assault troops. Then fought Azrael and died to S6 instakill.
iv. On turn 6 I managed to kill the last Deathwing Terminator to lead the game by 3 (own objective) - 2 (FB, STW).
v. It was truly a truly fun game and we both had a good time.

Haha forgot some important things also but that's my fault. Should know my wargear properly. Loss or not its the best game I have had in years thanks for the game dude Very Happy

Thanks to you man.. Seriously, that game was pure fun! Gila bloody and tight from the very 1st turn. A single mistake would cost us both dearly. Alas! you made some mistakes and my DE finally got their revenge Laughing

Made rules mistake and forgot shooting haha. Tak apa. Anytime you are going to HF tell me lar. Main jer lol. Any army also can.

After the game with Shaun. I finally realized the potential of a Webway list.
So this here is my 1st try at a Webway list.
 
Archon | Huskblade, Blaster, SField, CDrugs, STrap
Haemonculus | Webway portal

5 Trueborn | 4 Blasters --> joins Archon in reserve
3 Trueborn - 2 Splinter Cannons
- Venom - 2 Splinter Cannons
3 Trueborn - 2 Splinter Cannons
- Venom - 2 Splinter Cannons

5 DE Warriors - Blaster
- Raider with Dark Lance
5 DE Warriors - Blaster
- Raider with Dark Lance
5 DE Warriors - Blaster
- Raider with Dark Lance
5 DE Warriors - Blaster
- Raider with Dark Lance
5 Wyches | Haywire Grenades
5 Wyches | Haywire Grenades

3 Reaver Jetbikes - Heat Lance
3 Reaver Jetbikes - Heat Lance 
3 Reaver Jetbikes - Heat Lance

Ravager - Dark Lances, Night Shield, Flicker
Ravager - Dark Lances, Night Shield, Flicker
VoidRaven Bomber - Flicker
Total : 1846

How many can put in reserves ah? I'm confused already. Can I do this?
Deploy: 4 Raiders, 2 Ravagers, Haemonculus (embark a Raider/Venom), 2 SC-Trueborn, 2 Venoms = 11 Units
Optional Reserve: 6 Troops, Lord+Blasterborn, 3 Reavers = 10 Units
Compulsory Reserves : Voidraven

Had a fun game last Friday against Aiman and his Thousand Sons-Black Legion list:

My list:
Vect and the Dias of Destruction
9 Wyches
10 Wyches in Raider
3x5 Warriors in Raider
2x3 Splinterborn in Venom
2x DC Ravager
1 Voidraven Bomber

His list:
Be'Lakor
Ahriman
Yuranthos Prince
6 Plasma Chosens
2x10 Thousands Sons
2x5 Havocs with ACs
Chaos Fire Raptors

The game had to stop on turn 3 but by then it was almost decided already.
I killed both Daemon prince and soon would wiped out all his troops with Vect and the Wyches that was fighting near the enemy Objective.
His Havocs are too far away to do anything while the Fire Raptors wouldn't do much as I still have 15 DE Warriors to hold my own objective, ready to go to ground in a 4+ trench line/Imperial Stronghold.

It was fun.

The Dias is actually armour 13 all over. I thought it was 13/13/10 that day and it was destroyed by a massive Sunburst spell that cause 11 S4 hits to the rear. Huge mistake on my part..

Something else I realized in the game was that Vect actually has Prefered Enemy which affect the unit he is with. Cool!
