Unfortunately the Book 1 only has army list for your vanilla legions, and special rules for building army lists for Sons of Horus (Luna Wolves), Emperor's Children, World Eaters and Death Guard. The rules allow you to field them as either Loyalist or Traitor Legions, i.e. right at the beginning of the Horus Heresy.

The book includes rules for using the Primarchs - Horus Lupercal, Fulgrim, Angron and Mortarion. Those dudes have a stat line that rivals a Daemon Prince!

I'm using the vanilla legion list for my 1K Sons. Hopefully by Book 2, they will have their special rules out.

Actually looking forward to the Thousand Sons list in Book 2. And really looking forward to Thousand Sons models, or at least bits

Some pics of my WIP Sekhmet Termies.

The heads, shoulderpads and torso are custom resin casts from France, robed legs from Microart Studios and the arms are from the GK termi box. Still need to add kopesh blades from the TK tomb guard to replace the halberd blades.





Added a Salamander in Power armour so you can see the massive size of these fellas. They are close to a true scale marine IMHO.

Just throwing out some thoughts.

White or Purple for the robes guys?

On the Thousand Sons book, Ahriman is in regal purple robes with gold trim.

I'm thinking of going that direction. Just worried with the deep crimson red I plan to paint the armour, the model wont 'pop' on the table. IYKWIM.

If I go with white for the robes it will be more of a bone white or creamish colour, but trending towards a ever so slight purplish tint.

their robes are originally white right? prob go with that... Maybe add a line of purple on selected units the the officers etc...
