Cheaper then D-Scythe summore.
But D-scythe is autohit and can cover multiple unit. Scary also for overwatch.

So both also good, only that Wraithcannon is FREE --> win!

Back to topic. I got inspired by all these stories about the Wave Serpent and tweaked the list a bit, brought the army to Spartan, and the army totally ripped apart poor Vinder's nice Smurfs. It was quite insane. The army:

HQ:
Farseer - jetbike, singing spear
Warlock - jetbike, singing spear

Elites:
Striking Scorpions (10) - exarch w scorpions claw, crushing blow

Troops:
Guardians (11) - starcannon
Wave Serpent - bright lance holofield

Jetbikes (6) - 2x shuriken cannon

Fast Attack:
Vypers (3) - scatter lasers, shuriken cannon
Crimson Hunter - exarch

Heavy Support:
Fire Prism - holofield
Fire Prism - holofield
Falcon - scatter laser, pulse laser, shuriken cannon, holofield

The scenario was purge (the KP thing). Deployment was lengthways, and I got first turn. Some highlights:
- Holofield is good! Wave Serpents going full speed can survive all kinds of stuff
- Wave Serpents are truly awesome! That Serpent shield shooting is crazy
- They Vyper squadron is also insane. The sheer volume of S6 shots would scare anyone
- Fire Prisms rock!!!!
- Scorpions rock!!! as usual
- And the jetbikes ... wah
- psychic shriek, guide, conceal - nice!
- Crimson Hunter is a classy killer
- just realized I didn't use my Guardians at all - they never disembarked!
- it was crazy. I didn't lose a single unit. Lost 5 jetbikes, 4 scorpions, 1 hull point off a viper, the shuriken cannon and 1 hull point off the falcon

Totally inspired by your Wave Serpent reports. Amazing. I've always like those APCs and they just got better. In fact, I think they've never been this good before.

Yes, the jet stands out from the rest. But with my Ranger Force, it's not too bad. Anyways, all my aspects are painted mainly in their aspect colors, and I add in a bit of blue and yellow for the Alaitoc theme (also, my main Alaitoc Guardian force is in alternative non-standard codex scheme). Thus my scorpions are green, hawks are sky grey, dragons are red, spiders are red and white, etc. The one exception are my reapers, which are midnight blue instead of black.
