Had 2 games last weekend using the list vs Alvin's BA and Subahan's Daemons.


VS Alvin's BA:
- Managed to kill of everything else in his army but got stuck with his termies and was unable to remove that unit.

VS Subahan's Daemons:
- It was pretty a mirror match but he has Fateweaver, Skarrbrand and 3 tooled up flying Nurgle DPs.
- Nurgle DPs with Skarrbrands combo are pretty deadly. My screamers unable to do much. They all hit on 3+ which are re-rollable and 2+ to wound which is also re-rollable for Nurgle DP due to the poison rule.


Thoughts:
- So far I'm getting the hang of the army but still got room of improvement on the selection of preferred wave as well as the locations for deepstrikes.
- I'm also a bit weak on underestimating the maneuverability of the screamers which always have them ended up getting assaulted instead of them doing the assaulting.

how come there is a slaanesh unit in the middle of tzeenth and nurgle? is the masque really that useful?

Just trying something new instead of the plain old copy and paste 3 of the same unit.

He's fun but not a game changer.

If really want to max out the potential of this list, would have taken another 3 flamers and take 2 x 6 screamers instead of 9 screamers only.

But don't have the time and money to spare. 1 Masque is pretty easy to paint (i hope). And it would be funny to see if i can make a walker dance and show his ass for my daemons to rape or move that sergeant/IC hiding behind the line to the front to take wounds suffered first, etc.

The list sure looks nasty, with Flying 3 BoC and the Masque to arrange them all into perfect teardrop shape Laughing

You'll bring this to the tourney? Hopefully I dont meet you there hahaha..

haha... if you think this list is scary. wait til you face Subahan's list. it gives me a shiver.

your necrons also quite nasty as TL Tesla Destructor can easily take down FMC. Not to mention all those mindshackles.....
MC assaulting your unit is definitely going to be punching his own self.

Daemons can easily conter my list.. I know the weakness of my list very well, and almost nothing about them daemons.
Seriously, despite all the weakness, I am looking forward to see how they fare againts the scary daemons. Too bad I dont have the daemon codex, otherwise I would have playtested against them.

Seriously, your list is not easy to take down.

If i ever face your army, I hope that I can turn your resurrection orb or mindshackle bearer into spawn. That I would have a chance with your list.
But you will only fail on a roll of 6.
So, may you get super good rolls on that day! Razz

Hopefully what you say about my list were true, coz I dont think my list is strong enough. Of course they're able to survive 5th ed pretty good, but Chosen will be the 1st time I play my Necrons outside playtest back home.

You have 9 Breath of Chaos.. that scares me the most hahaha..

It's a bit even actually.. you need 4+ to kill me, I need 4+ to come back (with ResOrb), provided you didn't manage to wipe out the unit in a first lah..

Just some questions:
i. What can flamers do other than BoC?. They are jumpacks right?
ii. The Plaguebearers got Shrouding and FnP. What other thing they have?
iii. Screamers are S5 AP2 Armourbane Jetbikes right?
iv. Fateweaver allow friendly units within 12 to reroll invulsaves. Or was it friendly models.

Just BoC only. Yes, they are jump infantry.

ii. The Plaguebearers got Shrouding and FnP. What other thing they have?
Only got FnP.

iii. Screamers are S5 AP2 Armourbane Jetbikes right?
Only on melee they are S5 AP2 Armorbane. Yes, jetbikes.

iv. Fateweaver allow friendly units within 12 to reroll invulsaves. Or was it friendly models.
Within 6". Friendly units. Re-roll armor saves, inv saves or cover saves.

Only got FnP.
Oh yakah.. I read somewhere (either BoLS or their ally blogs) that they get 2+ cover saves behind ADL. ..

I thought it was like the Daemon Prince of Nurgle. They have shrouding kan.

If no such thing then most prolly they meant it when the Plaguebearers go to ground behind ADL kot with the +2 to cover saves.

that's actually for Plague Marines; 2+ behind ADL, 5+ out in the open..if a unit within 12" decided to shoot at them..

the lash in Daemons is called pavane. Is far cry from the old CSM's Lash of Submission.

It can only move D6 and once a unit is moved, subsequent Pavane on them will not have any effect. So only can move once a turn. Sad

breath of chaos is like the old CSM's winds of chaos.
4+ to wound with armor saves allowed.

last time you would not be able to get FnP rolls for them but 6th ed you can roll FnP against them. so is definitely less scarier la for your DE. no worries. Smile
