Warhammer 40k Team Challenge. Singapore. 7 April 2012

Don't know if this is the correct section to post on the new forums but here goes!

The Road to War guys are organizing another event on 7 April. I understand that many of you are reluctant to attend team events here, but i don't get to decide the format

Anyways, we're kinda hoping you'll come still!

I don't have all the details yet, as the sponsors have yet to get back to us, but here's some of it:

Road to War 3 - Desperate Allies

Format: 3 person teams tournament, games are played 1v1.
Each player is to bring 1750pts, each team must have 3 unique armies from different codices.

Location: Grid MMS, #04-01 Scape, Orchard Link.

- Over $SGD1k in Prizes to be won, + Trophies. Equal prizes for painting and generalship.
- Entry fee is SGD$90 per team. $80 if the team has an under18 player, OR someone new to the Road to War series.
- Armies are to be fully painted.

So the tourney is going to be three 1 vs 1 per round ? or each round a different player play the match?

It's 3 1v1 games a round. So if you lose but your 2 teammates win their rounds, you still win. For example.

is anyone interested? I'm kinda in the mood for a tourney after not competing in one for ages.

I'm interested, need the motivation to finish my Stormravens..
any plans on transportation, accomodation, etc? (or will it be the same plan as SPORE'09?)

Thank you for being a part of the Road to War series. You are hereby invited to be a part of Road to War 3 : Desperate Allies will be on 7 April, 2012. As usual, the Road to War series is an independently run tournament series organized by players for players, with external sponsors.

This time round, our sponsors are Battle Bunker at Funan the IT Mall, Games Garage at Ruby Lane, off Potong Pasir, as well as online stores Mix & Match Miniatures Asia and Tabletop Boutique.

The Details

Date: 7 April 2012

Time: 10am - 9pm

Format: 1750 pts per player, 3 player teams. Each team will nominate 1 team captain, and have 2 team members. The games are played 1 on 1 as per normal. Round results will be determined via player wins, followed by team Battle Points. (i.e: Team A Player 1 wins, Team A Player 2 wins, Team A player 3 loses. Team A still beats the other team. If there is a draw, then it goes to Battle Points.)

3 Rounds will be played over the day.

Cost of Entry: $90 per team, $80 if the team includes a Youngblood (under 18), or player new to the Road to War series. All players will get a door gift!

Prizes: Over $1000 worth of prizes will be given away to the following places:

Best Team: Trophy + Medals + Vouchers + Products (Est $450)
Team Runner Up: Medals + Vouchers + Products (Est $300)
Best General (Does not stack with Team awards) : Vouchers / Products (Est $100)
Best Youngblood General (Does not stack with Team awards) : Vouchers / Products (Est $50)
Best Painted: Vouchers / Products (Est $100)
Best Youngblood Painted: Vouchers / Products (Est $50)
Total Prizes: $1050, excluding cost of Trophy + Medals

Timetable
10am: Registration Opens
10:30am: Round 1 Begins
1pm: Round 1 Ends, Lunch Break Begins.
2pm: Round 2 Begins
4:30pm: Round 2 Ends
5pm: Round 3 Begins
7:30pm Round 3 Ends
8pm: Prize Giving followed by optional Dinner gathering!
