| Can I use other spray to undercoat/prime my models such as the cheap spray that sold in the convenience store or I must use the ones from GW? Looking for a cheaper alternative to prime my models. | |

| I wouldn't advise those cheaper aerosols, as those tend to have a glossy finish - which makes it harder to paint over. | |

| 2 Aersoal sprays that I recommend.
Black -Bosny - Cardboard Black -Nippon Paint - Pylox - Black Flat
Both can be found in Ace Hardware, either Curve or Mega Mall.
Price between RM 8 -10. | |

| I normally go for any cheap spray can that I can get my hand on (gloss or not), then give the sprayed mini a go of thin down Chaos Black... flat black for the win! gotta try out MrChaos suggested brand =) | |

| I was thinking of getting the Nippon Pylox Matt Black this afternoon. They got grey too but is it suitable for undercoating or will the colour be glossy instead of flat? | |

Chance is it will be glossy. To know if a spray have matt properties, look for the color name that says ''Flat''. example: -Flat Black -Flat Grey If grey does not exist, I recommend going to Tamiya and get yourself a can of grey spray. Yeah you pay a bit more but Tamiya sprays tend to be matt, and sticks well with paints. | |

| Hi Aaron just wanna add my RM0.02 along with what MrChaos mentioned. When I started I had a go with the GW C.Black can but stopped using it after it ran out. The black looked washed and was horrible. Eventually I went ahead and experimented with a Tamiya TS-6 Matt Black (RM30+) can and have had prettier templars since Here's an obvious comparison. Also, avoid enamel primers altogether unless you fancy the bling HTH! | |
