Strongest Death Guard build

Was just toying the idea of the freedom to make the best list from the book if money is not an issue.

Nurgle would be the best of all with super resilience and lots of plasma goodness.


Chaos Lord (Going with the Chaos Spawns)
- Mark of Nurgle: +1 Toughness
- Bike
- Veterans of Long War: +1 Ld, Hatred (Space Marines)
- Sigil of Corruption: 4+ Inv save
- Gift of Mutation: Before deployment, get to roll on Boon of Chaos chart
- Black Mace: Fleshbane (2+ to wound), AP4, Daemon weapon (+D6 attacks). Unsaved wound, model must take Toughness test or be removed as casualty without any saves allowed. At the end of assault phase, if caused 1 wound with the weapon, models within 3" of the bearer that has yet to suffer a wound from the Black Mace has to take a toughness test or suffer a wound without any saves allowed.

Is the return of the 9 Oblits list but with more power to them as they will be T5, largely immune to ID from ML, Dark Lances or Lascannons, etc.
The lord and spawn will be used as tarpit or handle horde with their T6 goodness.
The plague marines with their plasmas can target elite units such as termies alike with 5 S7 AP2 shots per unit.
Plague marines also good in combat with high toughness MC such as wraithlord with their plague knives (poison on 4+).
The whole army are at least T5 except for the cultist as they are just a point filler and an anchor objective sitter.

Not enough points la. But T5 oblits are really insanely powerful.

i am sure the oblits are good, they always were good anyway... and made better with marks, hey jo what about a cheep nurgle sorcerer? leading an assault unit? do you think that is viable... maybe not for your list, i just realize i got a FW nurgle sorcerer in one of my boxes yesterday

if you going psyker, gonna be exp dude. coz you need to take at least 1 psychic power from your nurgle god.

anyway, this list still need to be redone as I just noticed that I don't have answer to flyers.
