Continuing the quest to reinforce 2nd company, here's my 1st company list, made up mostly of models I already have. Just need to get Belial, another box of termies and a Dreadnought.

HQ:
Belial

Elites:
Dreadnought

Troops:
Deathwing terminator squad (10) - 1x thunder hammer n storm shield, 2x chain fist, 2x assault cannon
Deathwing terminator squad (10) - 2x chain fist, 1x assault cannon, 1x cyclone missile launcher
Deathwing terminator squad (5) - 1x lightning claws, 1x heavy flamer

Heavy Support:
Land Raider

Me too! But it's in queue:

1. Throwdown Catachans
2. Eldar reinforcements (3 harlies w kisses n death jester, 1 warp spider, 1 dark reaper exarch - this is for the league)
3. Nephilim and 6 black knights
4. Deathwing
5. 3rd company DA

So it looks like either late this year, or more likely next year. It should look awesome though

.. and it's AP1 against CSM!! Shocked

about the list. I think it's always better to have 4x5 Termies than 2x10 because
i. More unit --> target saturation, objective capturing
ii. Splitfire --> having 2 heavy weapon in one unit can't maximise the potential of Splitfire since only one weapon can Splitfire

Suggestion:

Maybe squeeze in a unit of Knights in there, just to have a feel of new codex Smile

Ya will definitely try it both ways. Though the thought of chunky termie squads deep striking is kinda cool and also because its something you couldn't do w loyalist marines before. The Knights are ok I guess but need to rethink how te entire army works w them. They can't take advantage of the awesome vengeful strike rule. And they defienitely should work in large squads. 7 or 8 in a Crusader (talk about fire magnet)

Vengefull Strike only work with DS. Since your list got one LR, I'm sure one of the Terminator unit (must be the CLaw one) wont be able to benefit from VS also. So why not turn that unit into the awesomefullness Knights Smile

I dont think you have to worry about the Land Raider becoming fire magnet coz most prolly your opponent would have their hands full already with the Deathwing Assault hahaha Laughing

Seriously.. The Deathwing really are scary..

I noticed that the new DA is like playing rock-paper-scissor with CSM.

Deathwing can layeth the smackdown hard against CSM & immune to the dreadful Helldrake, but will be crush like minced meat by enemy Ravenwing (especially by Black Knights units).

Ravenwing is good against termies (Deathwing)/oblits (CSM) but will bite the dust against the Helldrakes.

CSM is good to go against Ravenwing with mass AP3 templates, but all of which are useless against Deathwing. Maybe 9 Oblits will do the trick.

9 Oblits or 2/3 Heldrake is too easy. Tak syok lah Smile

Both Deathwing and Ravenwing are good. But I must say they aren't anything that Chaos can't handle. In fact, I'm pretty confident my fun Huron list can give them a good fight. If they did beat Huron silly, then just come with a better list lah next time.

CSM has a lot of AP2 weapons to handle Deathwing. And much better ICs to play with.

Like any elite army, both Deathwing and Ravenwing are not easy to use. I really think a balanced space marine battle company w support is much stronger. But hey, when it comes to Gaya ... Laughing
