Basically you send your 50pts ethereal out to the front and charge anything or better yet get him killed. Once he dies your army gets preferred enemy... after a morale check but if your firewarriors are in their fishes they skip that check... Now ur army has preferred enemy Very Happy which is awesome since its shooty and hth now...

dunno how disgustingly viable this tact is but for 50pts its cheep

viable... except for 50pts, he isn't much of a threat that I must kill him on Turn 1 - cuz he has a charge range i can totally avoid for a few turns.

and even when he does get in charge range, i dump a vehicle in front of him, and his S3 punch isn't gonna do anything!

The problem with the tactic is you only get preferred enemy if you actually do the morale check.

The only way to do this without getting into the argument of "No, you don't/Yes, you do" would be fielding Shadowsun.

If you have the bling, just use tetras or sensor towers.
