| The Status on Vin-Khalla PrimeChaos Chosen Joe has done Warmaster Jeremy proud. Firstly, Chosen Joe had shown the Necrons who is boss, avenging his losses to Lord Subhan in an earlier battle. Secondly, Chosen Joe is now the only commander to win every engagement of the entire campaign! Warmaster Jeremy grew a little paranoid at the thought that Chosen Joe might take over his position someday. He will have to work out a plan to entice the greater powers to continually support him. However until then, Warmaster Jeremy has cunningly set the chosen’s eyes on another rival... the Xenos. While they are making back losses from the Tyranid attack, the Xenos have surpassed them in planetary control. This cannot be allowed to stand. Current Total Controlled Areas: 23 LocationsHive City x1 Bastion x1 Village x1 Shield Generator x1 Manufactorum x1 Power Plant x1 Basic Terrain x17 XenosThe progress of the Eldar-kin has been encouraging despite the challenges they faced from so many quarters. Though losing some, they had returned their losses with victory three fold. Autarch Ben was glad to have Farseer Iqbal lending a hand. Craftworld Ilfirin, which was in the sector had caused much of their enemies to rethink their disposition. With added pressure from the upstart and still clueless Tau, the Eldar-kin hoped to secure the mines and extract what they had come for before anyone could guess their motives. According to the seers, time is running short... They must complete their objectives soonest while at the same time to not push the Imperium too far as to attract the fate line of the Exterminatus protocol. Current Total Controlled Areas: 24 LocationsStarport x5 Village x1 Manufactorum x2 Basic Terrain x16 Imperial Forces The world is burning. Although most of the population is safe within the hive cities, Captain Hakim could see the Necron phalanx near them. The Imperium is practically surrounded and nowhere is beyond the reach of an enemy of the Imperium. The losses of the Imperium has been great with victories sparse and locations won quickly re-conquered by the enemy. The Dark Angels had contributed the most but even so, their returns were few. Emperor, what is wrong with the campaign?! Captain Hakim consulted the land raider auspex to read on the latest development. His face hardened... more Imperial Guards were en route to the Vin-Khalla meat grinder. It was still in the process of regeneration. That daemon blade lodged at his side is messing with his protocols. In the grand scale of things, some losses were permissible so long as it was within his margin of error. His personal loss has the added effect of intriguing him to consider the Chaos forces as a threat worthy of his involvement. He wondered had she been in his position, what would she have done. The thoughts materialised in his head as a feeling of satisfaction swept across his circuits... Yes... she would have them all terminated. The past months had seen him sucking the ground he had landed on dry of all biomass. So far, no one had attempted to make a move on his territory yet. Best leave a feasting monster alone while he eats, Hive Mind Dann mused. It would be time for him to make his move soon. There is food is running low in the area and if he is to bulk up for the next void travel, he had better consume more. Problem with the situation here is that there are just too many choices around him. Current Total Controlled Areas: 10 LocationsRazed Buildings x3 (Bastions x2, Starport x1) Basic Terrain x8 | |

Chaos
Warmaster Jeremy marshalled his troops from a ruined building near his once occupied hive city. There had been too many fronts engaging his attention so much so that he had lost a battle to his hated enemy, Captain Hakim of the Blood Angels. With most of the population dead or in hiding, this year long war had denied what he had initially wanted from Vin-Khalla. He wanted manufatorums but none are in his control. He wanted a mass of cultist but the Necrons seem to have other plans when they annihilated his hive city. This raid was becoming meaningless. However, he knew that this was not done yet. If he was to leave, he had better leave with sufficient souls to appease his patrons. They do not like failures.

Xenos
In the midst of one of the many skirmishes, Autarch Ben noticed that his dark kin has been missing of late. Despite their strong grip on the important resources, they still have one more mine to conquer. Once done, they should have sufficient starports to escape before the campaign becomes a war of attrition. They had suffered losses and the old ones had been rather active of late. Best to leave the Necrons to the Imperium to deal with. One more month, he heard the seers concluded. One more month and they will disappear into the webway. Should they stay any longer, the risk of Exterminatus would be dangerously eminent. Autarch Ben hopes that his fragile alliance (if there was ever one) would last till the Eldar’s objectives are completed. Time will tell.

Imperial Forces
Vin-Khalla Prime is likely lost, Captain Hakim summarised. It was inevitable. The Imperial forces mustered were to hunt down Warmaster Jeremy. The xenos were not part of the calculation. The appearance of the xenos had cost him the opportunity to nab the cursed chaos lord. He was so close. At the moment, only the last dedicated Imperial forces remain to fight a rearguard action to allow the inhabitants of the remaining hive city to evacuate in near empty Imperial Navy carriers. Unless this last month provides them a strong turn of the tide, Captain Hakim may need to do that which he hates most... to exterminate the enemy along with the planet whole. This is the last chance to save Vin-Khalla Prime.

Necrons
Despite most of his troops being nothing more than unfeeling Necrons, Lord Subhan was starting to enjoy the exhilaration of victory after victory. He might even add an extra step or two on the intricate dance he had created. Foolish mortals call it some sort of wave but the dance was more detailed than that. The very dance emitted his sheer pleasure and joy of his victory in a broad range of communication spectrum. He was nearing his sleeping time and only the Eldar pose a threat to him. Based on his logic calculation, one more month was all it needs to force the foolish mortals off planet. Hopefully those mortals will leave him to his blissful sleep then.

Tyranids
Record of Hive Mind Dann’s food experience on Vin-Khalla Primel; Necrons are tasteless and bland. Eldar of all sort are wild tasting. Where are the Orks when you need the hearty meal? Chaos touched food seem to upset his digestion sometimes. Imperium humans varies from the malnourish sticks to crunchier tastes. An odd bio nourishment would be the Tau. They reminded him of aquatic life but blue is not his kind of colour. Anyway, Hive Mind Dann was getting bored with the current spread but he was still hungry. Should he hang in there for one more month before he slips off into the void? It was not sure...

* * * * * Chaos Forces
He was leaving. That was his final decision. There is no longer any benefit for his forces. Vin-Khalla Prime is as good as a dead world. Not wasting any extra time Warmaster Jeremy summoned Chosen Joe distracting him from his blood lust at his recent unexpected lost to Farseer Edward. He was sure the berserker in him would have wanted to remain to kill more. However, Warmaster Jeremy had other plans. By directing Chosen Joe at the Xenos, Warmaster Jeremy has had Chosen Joe discredited due to his loss. Due to his loss, Warmaster Jeremy now has a stronger clout to maintain his grip on the warband. While the Chaos side did not win much, they had at least crippled one source supplying to the Cadian defences. That should please Abbadon somewhat. In the meantime, he will lead his warband elsewhere for easier prey while licking his wounds. That it seems will have to do for now...
* * * * * Xenos – Victory
Time has run out for the Xenos force. The Tau seem to be withdrawing to regroup. Though their losses were comparatively light, they were not equipped for a long engagement. The farseers had seen that outcome and Autarch Ben was right not to put too much expectation on them. Likewise, the Dark Kin were gone. Some would say they have had sufficient play things and could not be bothered anymore. Autarch Ben sniggered before the assembled farseers and warlocks on hearing that report. Overall, the Eldar has done fairly well in this campaign themselves. They had crippled the transportation system of Vin-Khalla Prime and emptied one mine of all the soul stones. Based on the seers foresight, the other mine would not be tempered with for some time. Due to the Imperium’s heavy losses, they will not have the resources to resume mining operations for at least 50 years. With that, all Eldar forces will be withdrawing to a stable webway location. When safely away, the precious soul stones will be equally distributed to all contributing Eldar craftworlds as agreed...
* * * * * Imperial Forces
With the Planetary Governor finally leaving her office, Captain Hakim led the frail old lady and her few loyal staff to the landing pad of her palace. There a thunderhawk with his retinue waited for them. The governor had lost much weight and was looking nearly as pale as a servitor. Yet despite the defeat and forced extraction, Captain Hakim was comforted that such grim and resolute Imperial servants still exist. Only a few Dark Angels and Imperial Guards remain to ensure the last to leave made it out of the hive city. Elsewhere, the Ultramarines were evacuating from the only other remaining bastion on the far side of the planet. Vin-Khalla Prime is lost but will not be abandoned. Their losses were great but there is one thing a dogged Imperium will never fail and that is to grind on. They will return. The Exterminatus protocol will be held back for now. The next time the Imperium comes they will no longer be as few as they were... Next time, they would be legion.
* * * * * Necrons - Victory
Seated in his personal Catacomb Command Barge, Necron Lord Subhan watched the mortals ascend in their dingy shuttles. They were leaving Vin-Khalla Prime and surprisingly, those who were leaving also included the Eldar. It looked like a complete victory for him. The world was his and all that noise is finally disappearing. He got back his tomb world and his “life”. Some lowlife remain on the planet but these were of little concern to him. He toyed the idea of fully sweeping off all life on the planet but it was best that he did not do so. By going back to sleep and laying low, we would not be enlisted by an Overlord and be subdued to follow him in a stupid war that will never end. Better to avoid all the hard work and enjoy the silence of stasis than the meaningless conflict. Of course there was the added benefit of him catching up with the female necrontyr. With a wave of his sceptre, his army dematerialised back to their chambers. Time to get back with the program...
* * * * * Tyranids
Food was running away. The mortals seems to be evacuating from Vin-Khalla Prime leaving only the Necrons. Hive Mind Dann hated the metal warriors. Seeing that the tastier stuff were leaving, the hive mind consolidated his biomass and decided to leave Vin-Khalla Prime. He could have stayed to devour the other flora and what little fauna was left but he did not like the prospect of engaging the Necrons which did not add to him. Perhaps it was time he visited an Ork infested world. More meat and fun there. Hive Mind Dann collected his brood through his hive ship’s feeder tentacles and quietly slipped away. The other meat were too busy to be bothered with him although some negligible exchanges had occurred. Off to be carried by the void wind they go. They were back in the observation duty unless of course something tasty presents itself again.
