| 40k scene is no longer as lively as it used to be. It died out in Sabah, and seemed very slow around here nowadays. Heck, no one even talk about all the new codex anymore.
Maybe it is just me but from the last few visits to Hobby Forge, I noticed that without game appointment, I would be lucky to have anyone to play with.
I experienced the same atmosphere years back when WFB slows down and later died out. It took more than 6 years to slightly recover and even now, we don't see much WFB on table.
Now what do you think. Is 40k dying? Why? What can we do about it?

| Personally I am just on hiatus this year due to cost but I cant speak for anyone else. It could also be because of the lack of new blood into the game? I haven't seen many "new" players come in for quite long but then again I haven't been to the Forge in quite long so I may be wrong. | |

| It's certainly slower, and definitely lacking new blood. I'm back this week. Probably gaming Friday with either IG, airvcav or thousand sons. | |

| You have the Assasin dataslate? Sweet! I want to have a look at them. Got problem with my Credit Card so cannot get it yet. Looking forward to try them with my Raven Guard. I would prefer loyalist versus Chaos. So if you bring any of the good guys, do tell. I'll bring my World Eaters | |

| I'm now split between my AirCav and my Thousand Sons. You want to play your World Eaters or Raven Guard? | |

| Actually, I leave it up to you whichever army you feel like playing. If you bring loyalist, I play chaos. If you play chaos, I play loyalist | |

| That was a pretty cool game! I thought The World Eaters would have certainly won, but thanks to some strange happenings - Khorne Lord turning to spawn, buffed champion killed by a lowly priest - and some awesome objective-grabbing by the Hellhounds, IG managed to pull victory from the jaws of defeat!
In my other game, my Alaitoc Windriders faced off against Rizal's 3 Knights + IG scariness. It was the first time I've played against Knights. And the first time I played my Eldar in 7th ed. And I can see why the world is crying cheese over Eldar. The Eldar killed everything except for one Knight and 1 IG Captain. Eldar lost 1 jetbike squad, a Warlock, 2 Vypers, a couple of Guardians from the other jetbike squad and some damage on a couple of the vehicles.

| To be very frank, (and i am not taking any sides).
its not dead per se, on any night u notice at least one or two game being played at wira for 40k and fantasy. I feel there has been a fairly huge migration of players and a rise of new bloods there as of late. Was there on thursday it was quite full mostly of uni kids who stay around that area. That is something I notice when I drop by there to pick up FoW stuff. Also it helps that CM 40k crowd now are there practically everyday.
Legio pun If you look at it, most of them have either put 40k on hold or stop completely.

| That game with Lan was superbly fun. That was the kind of IG army that I've always wanted to play against. INFANTRIES!
My Chaos Lord incident was funny. He went God Mode after two turns of killing guardsmen. He killed more than 10 guardsmen and finally the priest. I don't know why Khorne wasn't happy and turned him into spawn.. That was one of the turning point for the game.
I lost. But I had fun with my favoured World Eaters. Keeping it to the theme is not easy, but it pays off so much in games such as this one.
Thanks bro Spunkybass for the game.. Next time, my RG vs your TSons!

| That was indeed an awesome game! I think Khorne thought killing 10 Guardsmen was just not good enough! Thanks for the game, I thought my boys were toast for sure. And yes, Thousand Sons vs RAvenwing sounds like a good thing! | |

| lol ... Thousand Sons would be fun to play. Also thinking of playing either my Eldar Rangers, or another Eldar army using models yang dah lama tak main. But the Thousand Sons vs Raven Guard would look really nice on table. | |

| If you have xenos or Chaos again pun ok. I haven't tried non-AirCav IG veterans in 7th ed yet. Let me know which one you prefer: Thousand Sons, Eldar, IG veterans | |
