Deployment
Grey Knights
LR with Purifiers and SR with Paladins and Libby deploy behind central building near the edge of Raoul's table quarter; 2 Termi Squads are held back for deep strike; the Vindicare took a high position in a ruin on the right of Raoul's deployment zone, overseeing the GK and UM army (this was done after the GK + UM deployment.
Grey Knights + Ultramarines
Being out in the open, the army was spread out to cover as many spots to deter deep strikers. Techmarine bolsters the defence of the ruin south of the central ruin. The Inter Sqd and the Callidus was kept for deep striking later. See picture for better idea.
Turn 1
Grey Knights
SR flat outs and took up position with cover beside central ruin. LR cruises forward to hide on another side of the central ruined building. Vindicare pops the TFC but Techmarine escaped. LR shot at Dread but was out of range. SR shook the RB.
Grey Knights + Ultramarines
RB cruises to one side of the central ruin and pops smoke. Techmarine attaches to Tac Sqd. DK moves forward. Dread re positions slightly. LS Sqd repositions slightly and shoots at SR but fail to cause any harm. Libby failed to counter GK Libby cast shrouding. Dread wounds Vindicare (1) with autocannon fire.
Turn 2
Grey Knights
1 Termi Sqd deep strikes near DK and Dread. SR flat outs towards Tac Sqd. LR cruise forward from the flank. SR wounds DK (1) with Lascannon. LR shot at Dread but was foiled by cover. Vindicare's shot at RB foiled by smoke cover.
Grey Knights + Ultramarines
RB reverses toward SR. DK moves towards Termi Sqd. Dread moves towards Termi Sqd. LS Sqd moves back and shoots at SR but fail to cause any harm. Libby counters GK Libby's shrouding. RB shoots its Lascannon and wreaks SR. Libby counters GK Libby's shrouding again. Libby attempts to cast Null Zone but was countered by GK Libby. Tac Sqd, Strike Sqd and Ed's Libby shoot at Paladins and GK Libby causing 2 wounds only. DK and Dread shoots at Termi Sqd but fail to wound. DK and Dread assaults Termi Sqd killling 2 termis and getting 2 wounds on DK and shakes + stun Dread. Thankfully, morale check passed.
Turn 3
Grey Knights
2nd Termi Sqd deep striked but was misplaced to the far end of GK's deployment quarter. LR moves closer towards RB. LR explodes the RB causing no wounds on the Libby but somehow killing 1 GK termi nearby with sharpnel. Paladin + GK Libby shoots at Tac Sqd and later assaults it killing 7 Marines and the Techmarine. Tac Sqd breaks and runs to table edge. DK and Dread kills Termi Sqd.
Grey Knights + Ultramarines
Callidus and Inter Sqd deep strike near Paladin + GK Libby. Tac Sqd rallies. Libby attaches itself to Inter Sqd. DK moves towards LR. Dread and LS Sqd repositions a little. LS Sqd, Tac Sqd, Strike Sqd, Callidus, Inter Sqd + Libby torrent Paladins + GK Libby with shots. Ed's Libby succesfully cast warp rift as well, leaving at the end only 1 Apothercary with 1 wound + GK Libby. Dread kills Vindicare.

Summary:
It was an uphill battle for Ed and me. Coming face to face with a SR, LR, Vindicare and tough 2+ armour saves was a challenge. Both sides had quirky dice rolls as well. However we were fortunate that Raoul's army came to us and that they came in waves, allowing us time to deal with each accordingly.
On a side note, Raoul is a fairly new and enthusiastic player (I'm not that much different than you since I hardly have time to play). I'll say hang in there bro. Fight on. You may need to tweak your army but for this battle I say you still have a chance to do some damage with the LR, Purifier Sqd and misplaced Termi Sqd. They could still possibly get you a few KPs. The DK only has 1 wound left and the Dread is close enough for you to kill with your LR. If your LR survives the DK charge, it can still cause havoc since the melta equipped units are far from you. Though slim, your Libby and Apothecary could hold out and take some with you, like Ed's Libby if he gets close when they assault.
Anyway, let's continue to learn and develop in this game together.
When battles go down hill I suppose it would be a good idea to try things you normally wouldn't. Cheers Raoul...
