@Faizal, are you sure we can only get the rulebook online? Maelstorm ain't charging cheap for it.
As of now, if I want to start playing, I need to know if the army composition let's me build a list that I visually like. If I were to play Axis, I'd prefer zombies + snipers + Really big walkers predominantly in it.

Actually Dust: Warfare is officially released. I ordered mine from the Fantasy Flight webstore, though shipping charges were high I admit. The rulebook has been shipped and should be in my hands in the next couple of weeks

As do as anywhere else me thinks, the cheapest is always maelstrom with zero shipping charges. I'm getting mine from there though it might take a while since they are not the the direct supplier (fantasy flight)

Spoke to the guys at comics mart today they told me they have had a few enquiries about the game, I suggested them to bring in a few books and base units to test the waters. Hopefully they do consider it. It truly depends on the distributor for FFG if they would want to bring it in.
I am kinda sold already I have the dust board game, it was released way before tactics it plays like axis and allies, really fun stuff.

I would buy the box set if I could convince someone to join the Allied forces. If not for the sole reason it's "cheap!" which sounds in my head every now and then.

Wow...i totally missed this thread too. Only opened it now in beautiful Mabul, Sabah after a truly amazing dive off Lobsters Wall
I for one am totally in love with the Dust alternate WW2 universe. Add cool looking pre-primed models and what's not too like. Like Jeff, i'll be working on these once i complete my bagration army.
I don't have the scenarios book which comes with both original and revised core set as i don't have them with me now. But i'll update once i'm back next week. From what i've read of the DT rulebook, the gameplay is quite simple and straight forward. Shouldn't be difficult to pick up. DW i can't comment until i see the rulebook for myself. But am definitely getting myself a copy
Those interested to start should make it this week's Hobby Night when we have our first DT game at Legio.
In the meantime....from the 3.SS Division Totenkopf.

Ahh, tempting but exams, sadly.
However, I'm definitely gonna paint all my 40k stuff before I start another whole system. But at the meantime, I'll "wait" for the book, I need to know if I can field lasers, zombies and huge tanks in a list.
I found out walkers and snipers are support units that you can't really spam them. But that fortunately negates people spamming transports like 40k, though I don't there's much transports in Dust. It's like there's maximum 5 main units you can put in a platoon, then per 2 main units can you bring a support unit.

Actually that does make it more balance tho. And fairly realistic compositions. I for see this game expanding it's core rule sets really fast, specialize army types will surely appear in the near future. Reading thru their campaign book, this guys really have put a lot of effort to make their own version of ww2 events.
As it is, I only had one game of tactics I understand warfare is quite different especially how suppressing fire and initiative is played. I really can't wait for my book to arrive looking at the table I have I feel like making dust terrain for it, I got some sketches to build a large chemical factory and trenches for my table

Gorillas...Nice! Sounds like some folks are interested. Once I've got my Soviet tank army done I'll start posting some pics of Dust painting progress. Hopefully the rulebook shows up soon
