My first try list for 6th ed. Basically a footslogging shooty army. For the time being, I'm not using any transports for the Grey Hunters as we all know vehicles have been nerfed a bit in 6th ed. Plus u can't move 12' and disembark anymore and I want to take advantage of the new overwatch rules. I used razorback solely because of the las plas upgrade, for added fire power.

Rune Priest has always been integral in any SW army and they are one of the best anti-pyskers around. Plus they have access to new psychic abilities. I like prescience especially and will be very useful for the long fangs.

Wolf Priest has been buffed up with 'preferred enemy' which can help negate any gets hot for plasma guns. And they confers fearless, which is way better than in 5th ed. So they will lead my GH and Wolf Guard Termies.

Speaking of Termies, they are the talk of the town now with most Power Weapons have nerfed to AP 3, so Grey Knights army doesn't scare me much anymore. Was thinking outflanking them with Wolf Priest's Saga of the Hunter and shoot anything in their path, since can't assault directly after entering from reserve. Then next turn assault or be assault.

I'm not sure how to deal with fliers with this list, unless GW allows LFs to take flakk missiles but then again they can snap fire but with 10 missile launchers probably could hit 1 or 2 (forgive my math). Maybe add the Aegis defense line with a Quad Gun to flak those fliers.

Yea, Aegis defense line with Quad Gun is the way to go. Take 2!

i want to tembak only and also hold ground, but i fear survivability since they're naked in the open unless i can make use of cover which also could be dangerous with mysterious terrrain around..

go to ground with defense line is +2 cover save yo. 2+ cover save is not easy to be taken down easily.

I thought we can only take 1 Fortification of any type? i.e only 1 Aegis Defense Line, right?

Only one aegis defense per primary detachment (normal FOC) meaning 1750 pts would include only one primary detachment thus one fortification.

If 2000pts or more will allow u to add an extra primary detachment, thus double up your FOC and allows u to add another fortification, read it in page 109 and 114.

Gile lah! For SW I can take up to 8 HQ if 2000 pts or more. I foresee 2000pts will be the norm in 6th..

At 2K points, imagine fielding all 6 special characters, + 2x generic thunderwolf lords and + 2x Lone Wolves + Arjac and his 2x WG + Lukas and his gang

You'll be playing DotA 40K! Laughing

Oh, and you can join 4 special characters to a squad, and have them absorb all hits and abuse the Look Out Sir rules by passing wounds to the grunts.
