You dont mess with the Duke 1750 themed DE

I was at the office playing around with AB again, And after reading the DE codex for the 99th time i taught i do something different and play with a themed DE force of Duke Sliscus, I wanted to make an army with lots and lots of kabalite Those models are really nice and i hate to waste them all.

So...

I went to build me a Duke army. I am kinda pumped at the moment and will start modeling my duke tonight! hopefully i get to post something tomorrow. The duke isnt that great he lets you roll two dice for drugs and choose one, makes all the raiders, venoms deep strike if i want, 2+ poison +5 instant kill weapon, and the big one i guess is one unit gets its poison weapons (rifles and cannons) upgraded to +3. It does not have much cc, but my intention is to shoot out the crap out of you, then charge. All my raiders have splinter racks which re-roll misses, So the dukes ride they shoot out 27 poison +3 + reroll misses


An added bonus to this list is i can bring back my Dracon model i made, i consider her my dukes bitch.

What did you arm the Ravager with?

Looks good.. the only changes I'd do is drop Razorflails from both Wyches Units and Shredders from Warriors. Then Topup the Trueborn to full unit of 10.

u might wanna reconsider the splinter rack for your Sliscus unit - splinter racks only reroll rifles and pistols.

Overall looks nice. I'm guessing the ravager hv dark lances?

Dann is right where Carbine doesnt work with Splinter Racks. Maybe you'd wanna drop that from the Raider and take the 10th Trueborn instead.

ah dun worry i stole my duke sword from this guys.

The duke uses twin venom blades, i saw a lot of conversions that use two power weapons that they combine making a double bladed sword.

The duke gear is pretty awesome considering it uses ghostplate armour, shadow field, a Blast pistol, his poison blades, drugs, and assault grenades. And thats not including his contraband, low orbit raid, and serpants venom.

This will be my last Army list, till i put some games in,

I took heed of some comments given in another forum called darkcity. They kinda help me to make the theme list more competitive which is always good.

On my modeling side i am in the midst if refurbishing my old DE warriors with new parts from my new DE bit box they actually look kinda cool and gives this old skool veteran look to them



Some improvements
- Basically i put a little more punch with my wyches so that they can not only blast stuff but have one cc unit that can do the mop up. They are also optimized to take out tanks if need be.

- My warriors now carry blasters instead of shredders, Took out the sybarite for more points

- Retooled my razorwing, to cost less

- Retooled my Trueborn, i added another guy and reduce the dracon weapon to a venom blade... i know its a point wastage, but i kinda modeled a cool looking guy so i taught what the hell might as well put him in for fun sake

If they really really need to charge they are quite decent, actually it has more attacks than the wyches as their guns are all assault and has 2 base attacks per model. something like 27 poison shots, 1 blaster shot, 24 attacks on a charge, 4 2+ poison attacks and, 5 2+ poison 5+ ignore armour attacks

Thats 61 dices in a turn!

I played a game last night with my self

I realize that going full warriors isn't making much use of the dukes ability to roll two dice for drugs... I mean in the old list only one unit had drugs. Rolling 2 dice and choose which one i want is actually pretty fun Also i manage to zip past a bunch of marines in terrain causing some 7 hits at str4 and 5 str6 hits killing 3 on the way to melta a predator.. my wife thinks im mad cause i was -

A. Playing alone
B. Laughing

Since it is a theme poison army the Hekatrix will have poison blades Also my trueborn fired and assault a 9 men termi unit + csm lord killed it with wounds to spare. That trueborn unit is definitely good in a charge, 68 attacks from shooting and assaulting!
