do you need the bonding knife? it only helps if your unit size go below 25% which you can still take ld at normal as if an IC is with them.
if yes, then no point having them on 3 crisis suits right? (not sure is that a requirement for the supplement codex)

Unfortunately, Bonding Knife Ritual is a MUST have to any units who can buy it. But that's only 21 points in this army la...

you must take bonding knifes if you wanna play farsight. even the old tau empire book had that rule... they close knit group of bad ass mah... u guys really should read the farsight supplement book it has some really good fluff. Gives u a new perspective to the "utopian" ideals of the tau empire

With my DE list more or less settled, my mind's been wandering lately and one of the things I went back to, was my attempt to tackle Codex Chaos. What I eventually ended up with, was trying to build in a lot of armour. Making a forward-siege-esque-Iron-Warriors-themed list... without Oblitz!

spare a land raider or two for your list. that will be scary.

You know, that's not a bad idea... reduce the termies by 6, reequip them with meltas and p.fists, and buy a land raider!

This can be a forward moving vehicle, and if I need the termies to deep-strike I can always spare it to one of the CSM units.

Plus, if there's a chance the Warpsmith gets outflanking warlord trait, I have an outflanking land raider with 4 termies!

I don't hv the bl book... But I suppose that's a possibility too. Take away the termies n I can get a sorcerer (for variety), another hell brute n a forgefiend. Then just move the cultists to the bl side.
