Here's the first mini I painted, a Paladin

How tall is this figure? if I didn't see it wrongly, all the metal part (armor, sword, shield) is NMM right? Dude, you're a monster!

Very cool. I painted the same fig (and the elven archer), but couldn't achieve your level of detail. I shouldn't have used washes / shades

limp83- I'd say the fig is about a head shorter than a GW space marine, but way wider. One of the largest non-bust faces available, so you can easily go crazy with the anime / manga facial features.

Is there a painting reference attach with the box set...
if not.. creepy.. you and MrChaos are using the exact same color scheme great mind thinks alike eh

There are artwork in the rulebook. I'm following that.

Same here... there's about 2 pieces of artwork for each mini scattered around the stuff in the box.

Since this is a board game with cards for each mini, I don't want to confuse the players.

You CAN however paint them in the Record of Lodoss Wars / Shining Tears scheme, since the design is generic JRPG.

Next up is the Elf Archer.
