GW released new CSM codex FAQ!

Page 61 – Typhus, Plague Zombies
Change to ‘Plague Zombies are Chaos Cultists that have the
Fearless, Feel No Pain and Slow and Purposeful special rules
and cannot purchase options other than to add additional
models to the unit.’


Page 69 – Axe of Blind Fury
Change first rules sentence to ‘Models with the Mark of
Khorne, or Daemons of Khorne, only.’


Page 91 – superscript note 5
Change to ‘Models with the Mark of Khorne, or Daemons of
Khorne, only.’

Page 97 – Chaos Terminators, Options, second bullet point
Change to ‘Any Chaos Terminator may choose any of the
following three options:’

Page 97 – Helbrute
Change points value to 100 points.


What a Face now I have 5 point left for the discount of Helbrute =p

True.. I learned it the hard way today hahaha

GW FAQed the Blind Axe just as how I expected. You see, the Axe of Blind Fury gives Rage special rules to it's user, and the only Khorne unit without Rage special rules in the codex is the Daemon Prince. Pretty obvious actually, nice GW.

Of course you get additional attack, but only one extra powerfist so +1 only la.
2 (base) + 1 (2nd PFist) + 1 (Charging) = 4. I wish we can dedicate then to Khorne like in 3.5 Smile

A bit confused here. On pg 84 it says if a walker is armed with two or more melee weapons, it gains +1 bonus attack for each additional weapon after the first.

So if hellbrute, has 2 powerfist, won't it be getting:
2 (base) + 1 (2 melee) + 1(a pair of specialist weapons) ?

not that i can find it. Smile

to add on, looking at other melee weapons available to Hellbrute and standard Dreadnaught.

Dreadnaught Close Combat Arm = Sx2 AP2, melee
Power Scourge = S8 AP2, melee, flail (Minus D3 weapon skill to enemy)

None of the above have specialist weapons rule.

So maybe Phill Kelly intended to allow Hellbrute to be armed with Power Fist for that reason instead? Hmmm.....

Nope.. to make it easy, you must understand the rules for Specialist Weapon. It didn't give +1 attack. It says you only get the +1 attack for using two melee weapons if both weapons are Specialist Weapons.

So for Helbrute, let say:
i. 2 PFist = 3 attacks since both weapons are Specialist Weapons
ii. 1 PFist and 1 PScourge = 2 attacks only since PScourge is not a Specialist Weapon.
