Thinking of redusting my tau after I am done painting with my DE. Simple enough list, the firewarriors will ride on the pathfinders Devilfish.

At the moment I am thinking of swapping the fusion blasters for missile pods, but I realize if I lose those 2 hammerheads early I have nothing to Pen AV 13,14 vehicles...

I am also waiting for GW to get no with changing the sky ray rules... the sky ray is an AA platform by fluff... but since our dex is so old... they have not fix that little problem... or else it would make tau a happy camper... S8 missile in your face!

It has two FW units in the form of a tetra recon vech... The purpose of the tetra is to use its markerlight which is Heavy 4 split fire! its an av10 all round with 2 hp, for 50 pts its a steal!

Kinda feels like a modern army now, Got a MLRS unit in the form of the crisis suits total of 8 twin link missiles at bs 4, Recon scout cars, Close range fire support Crisis suits with 3 ap2/ap1 shots at close range, Foot troops, APC's with EMP grenadiers, and 3 tanks

Tetras are quite fragile they cant really do any damage since they got only a carbine but... It has shrouded and can ignore difficult terrain and a scout... so imagine one of this guys in a ruin building lol

yeap. Tetras are legal in 40k games, apoc only stuff cannot be use in 40k games tho

Is it because of the tau uber suit rumours or you really want to start playing them again?

Anyways, the only thing I want to point out about your list is the EMP grenades, I can guarantee you that it will never be used. Just tell me how you're going to use them and I'll see if it's even remotely worth the points.

Oh, sorry for buying your piranhas, could've been used as tetras now as oppose to collecting dust back at my home. lol

Yea I realize that Jake lol it's cool although technically the fw ones are cheeper than the gw piranhas.

About the emp grenades I get y u say it's useless... Will swap the grenades for more firewarriors... Initially I wanted to use them like my wych grenadiers then realize the devilfish does not have assault ramps

I do like the tau... But my priority will be getting my DE complete, then moving on to my deathguard, then csm, then only tau... which should be ok since tau dex is still a while to go before it comes out
