Legio Army Throwdown I,Pt. I - Jan 18th Throwdown TROOPS

Owh wait i get it lol... Going to push my monks to the wild card slot and that gives me 7 deathguard marines to paint for the first checkpoint and another 7 in the following check point.. less stress

EDIT: I'm actually waaaay behind. 1 Wrack so far... 3 more ready to paint, Raider just assembled and not yet even base-coated. Have to get another box of Wracks (or 2)...

Looking forward to see all the troops done. Do post them here for all to see!!

The sudden quiet in the forums is a sign everyone's hard at work painting, huh?

A little update: I just finished my 2nd wrack this morning (sorry no pics, hving problems with transferring the files from my phone).

Optimistically, I had wanted to finish 5 Wracks and a Raider for the Throwdown. Looks like I'm gonna have to sacrifice 2 Wracks to finish the Raider. Or vice versa...

How's everyone else doing?

I doubt I can make it- the Legions army list doesn't allow five man tactical squads. I spent too much time figuring out my scheme and playing Assassin's Creed III!

However, I'm hard at work on the Legion Tactical Squad, and will bring everything I finish to the throwdown. Even if I don't qualify I'll bring them for the hell of it!

You're right, there's a dearth of painted pictures out there. I think Khairul, me, and Doc are the only ones to display fully painted/based pictures of their progress, unless I'm mistaken...?

It's cheeky as hell, but yes, I suppose you can do that. Just bear in mind that once you show them, you can't use them in any other throwdowns until the finals in May...

It's cheeky as hell <-- heh heh, I think having 25% "head start" is the only chance that I might have to participate in more than one throwdown and complete an army in time.. I'm a bloody slow painter~_~

Fair enough, dude, but FYI we've decided that all future army throwdowns will be done with new miniatures- no "heads starts" will be allowed. Everyone's army will start no more than assembled and primed in white, grey, or black. So, live it up while you can!

I'll bring my 25% as well... but NOT for the throwdown, only for photography purposes hehehe.

I just continued my progress last night, wanna paint them Iron Painter style these few days.

Mainly because I was quite distracted in painting my DE recently too.

Argh! Almost finished with my 3rd Wrack, which barely qualifies me for the throwdown... Forget the Raider, gonna try and finish a 4th or 5th Wrack for the throwdown...

They were too hot to handle.

@jeff: lol..nothing of that sort. a fire broke out in the condo unit directly below mine. my unit affected somewhat with my room's floor and walls cracking due to the extreme heat.
