Imperial Fists Terminator Command Squad

Since I started my Imperial Fist army I have always wanted to built and paint a squad of Captain Lysander's personal Terminator retinue.

Based on the Titanhammer Apoc datasheet. For now I have only assembled 1 Terminator due to time restrains. I will regularly updated this thread as I complete more Terminators.





I'm assembling the beefiest and most 'bling out' terminators known to mankind. So throw out some ideas, suggestions on how the terminators will look.

Ideas I am working on:
-A Terminator with a standard bearer
-A Terminator carrying the Votex Grenade (Any idea how a Vortex Grenade look like)

(wait.. I'm going to dig out the horus heresy collected vision book from my book pile and see whether there is any cool idea on termi)

re. Vortex Granade... if can't find picture, GO CRAZY! I reckon a fist shaped device would look cool as a vortex grenade for imperial fist (read: cut off a fist from your spare marine/termi hand and beef it up with some details.. or maybe even just beef up a power fist?)

Cool idea on the Vortex Grenade. I'm doing one termi about to toss the grenade at the feet of a Titan.

Dude, dude, maybe reuse your Justaerin shoulder pad? and then "loyalize" it with some leather stripe underneath it/purity seal on it?

That's the explosion of a Vortex Grenade. I was thinking of a more bigger grenade something like the melta bomb, but bigger. I'll see what I can find in my bitz box.

That is a good idea as I have some spare Pre-Heresy shoulderpads. But I do have Forgeworld Imperial Fist shoulderpads so I thought I'd rather use those and save the pre-heresy shoulderpads for something else.

by the way i already ran through the web for vortex granade image.. cant find any to help. Maybe you should use those eldar grenades and alterthem.. i dont think vortex grenade are meant to be big.

Apparently it's a sphere. So I was thinking the grenade can look like a crystal ball of some sort, like those you find in gift shops or horror shops.

Maybe those orkses or DE might have some nice looking grenades.

Oh, ya, re vortex grenade, if you brought the last issue of WD (the one with space wolves chopping up nids cover), pg 82, 83, wizard challenge, I think a few of the orb (esp the celestial wizard one..) would be a nice reference of vortex grenade

I do have an Empire Wizard kit, I will see what I can do, or GS is pretty easy. Just roll up a ball.
