Vehicle movement and embarking/disembarking Empty

1) When a unit embarks a vehicle can it go flat out in the following shooting phase?

2) The rules states that the unit embarks during the movement phase. Can one embark when the transport has moved at Cruising Speed?

Second paragraph under "Embarking" heading answers more or less your question.

Anyways, you can't move further or flat out if your vehicle moved before the units embarked into it. So yes you can move at cruising speed and a unit can embarked into it.

Thanks Aznjake,

How far do jetpacks move? It says in the movement phase they move like normal OR activate their Jetpacks.
Meaning by activating their Jetpacks do they move 12 inches like Jump packs or ?

Jump packs and jetpacks are separate categories in 6th ed. so don't lump them together.

However, they share the rule 'Skyborne' which you need to read before going on about the movement phase. It states when you use jetpacks, you ignore all models and terrains when moving through them and take dangerous terrain tests if you begin or end your movement in difficult terrain.

That is what moving like normal infantry and activating the jetpacks mean. Nothing is stated it can move up to 12" like how the rules in jump packs are worded.

That's why I am asking. In Skyborne rule for Jumpack Infantry it clearly states everything same with Jetpack, except the part about 12in movement.
And I safely assumed that the rule applies for Jetpack Infantry also coz it is mentioned "....OR activate their Jetpack"

So, what you are saying is that when they activate their Jetpack they fly over stuff for 6in only. For what when you can walk over it for best of 2D6in?

I really wonder what "....OR activate their Jetpack" actually meant.

Jetpacks only allows you to move with "Skyborne" rule and use the 'thrust move' which is done in the assault phase.

I slightly don't understand what you're trying to ask here. 2D6" thrust move is used only in the assault phase.

The word "OR" simply means you can choose to move 6" like normal infantry or move 6" using jetpacks during the movement phase.

WHY you would do that is that you don't want to risk dying from dangerous tests in difficult terrains.
