GK Nemesis Force Weapons (NFWs)

Even with all their extra spc rules, the NFWs at their core follows the Force Weapons rules as in the rulebook right?

That means, a GK armed with a NFW can only instant kill 1 multiple wound enemy model regardless of how many unsaved wounding hits that he did, correct?

For instance, a GK Grandmaster armed with a Nemesis Force Sword charging solo against a unit of 5-Ork Nobz. With his four attacks, the max he can do is to cause 4 unsaved wounds, in which 1 of them will instant kill 1 Nobz. Am I correct?

Thus, continuing the Nobz as example again, if a unit of 5-men GK Paladins v/s a unit of 10 Nobz, they can only force instant-kill to 5 models right (other unsaved wounds are considered as caused by normal power weapons).

ppl has been playing against me using the rule if the force weapon psychic test is passed, all unsaved wounds caused by the force weapon will cause instant death.

joe 'died' correctly. all unsaved wounds from NFW inflict instant death that turn (P54 of Grey Knights codex).

(NFWs looks annoying similiar to NSFW, which attracted me to come in and read this thread......)

I have some question of my own

Say a Runepriest caused 3 wounds to Nobz:
Nobz 1 with PK : take one wound
Nobz 2 with Cybork : failed invul take one wound
Nobz 3 with Big Choppa : take one wound

How many Psychic Test the Runepriest had to take? one for all OR one for each

If the answer is one for each. Wasn't it limited to how many psychic power he can cast a turn. Say he is a normal Rune Priest, he can only use it once?

only take once. like a normal psyker that can only use a power once a turn.

but unlike the Nemesis Force Weapon, i think a Rune Priest can only insta-kill one of the Nobz

just read through the rulebook.

it's only 1 of them: "...use the weapon's power against one opponent..."

so to confirm. normal force weapons only work against 1 model with 1 test even thought multiple wounds caused where as for nemesis force weapons, it works against all wounds caused with just 1 test???

Ya la..upon reading the NFW on page 54 of the GK Codex, all wounds caused will have the instant-kill effect.

Well, I can see that Necrons won't be havin' a big problem against this effect, but other armies suffer quite a lot from this.

On a personal note, so as not to be as power-gaming as other GK players, I think I'll just stick to my Death Cult Assassins lah..They only have normal power weapons.
