Alaitoc Ranger Force 1850

Updating my list to 1850pts. Here's my first shot, essentially building on the 1750 one.

Swooping Hawks (6) - Exarch (because I can)

Dark Reapers (6) - Exarch w missile launcher, fast shot, flakk
Wraithlord - brightlance
Wraithlord - brightlance

Just realized I used up Almost ALL foc slots for this detachment.

Things I hate the most in the list is the Dark Reapers. Loooong ago (I think in a game against Dann), they easily took out my Berserkers (they were on foot back in 3.5 CSM) as easily as breathing. I'm still traumatized by that event hahaha..

2ndly was the Spiders. And that one was thanks to Din and his Eldarbot. But at least against them I can roll my saves..

Hopefully I can fight the new Eldar very soon.

Its super cool to see on the table for sure lan. And ur alaitoc has some serious payback with my army lol. Almost everything can outflank which is insane... Imagine if your warp spiders or scorpions got 2+ armour thinggy... damn that will be a bitch for me...

Like all your ranger list, this one is still lacking in tank busting department. The Crimson Hunter Exarch is very good. But it won't be around in the 1st turn. That leaves you only 2 brightlance shots. Unless you're very lucky, I think that is not enough.

Take 2 Brightlance lah for each Wraithlord. Summore that thing is a character so any 6 to hit is Precision. Better chance to snipe characters with 2 weapons than 1.

what the wraithlord has precision shot?

worse. wraithlords are characters. so he can beat the crap out of sergeants and upgrade characters, and most likely stay in one assault round.

Ya, this has the classic Alaitoc anti-tank weakness. But believe it or not, this is the strongest anti-tank list I've ever had for Ranger Force. 2 Wraithlord brightlances (though from experience it's probably better to run them forward and into cc as soon as possible), Dark Reaper Exarch w 2 bs5 krak missiles (which he can shoot at different target from his squad, thanks to Illic, who will be hanging out with him - yes, infiltrating shrouded Dark Reapers), Crimson hunter w 4 bs5 s8 shots, 2 of them lances, 6 haywires from the Hawks, bucket load of s7 shots to take out light/medium armor from the spiders. And if desperate, the charging scorpions la. Not too bad on paper, but still quite challenging.

i'm actually freaked out by how many sniper shots there are. my tau would have a hard time with this list since i have absolutely no armour. between the 6 ranger squads and two wraithlords, i wouldn't know which one to shoot first. lol.

Should consider another crimson hunter, it's got real firepower potential!

Even i'm considering one (even though it's so weird to have a flyer for my army)

It was a rematch last night vs Faizal's Space Wolves. And it was sheer brutality! The Dark Reapers were insane! Gunning down both Long Fang squads and just causing so much pain. In the last turn, the Crimson Hunter blew up the last surviving Rhino and the Dark Reapers shot up the survivors who bailed out from it.

The Warp Spiders were their usually deadly annoying selves, shooting up termies before moving forward to shoot up Grey Hunters. The Crimson Hunter was real graceful, streaming in to blow up a Dreadnought and a Rhino.

The 2 Wraithlords reprised their old roles as terror weapons by sweeping forwards and destroying all in their path. One of them was destroyed in the process.

The Scorpions and Hawks were untested as Faizal had to concede before they could see some real action.

Insane.

Don't know about that. We should have a game. No idea how my rangers supposed to deal w your tau. Or my guardians
