Really learned a lot about painting non-GrimDark themes from these.
I base-coated all of the white to put an extra glow into the colour.
Forced myself to learn how to do lots of exposed flesh properly- basically just lots and lots of layers of very thinned-down colour.
Most of these minis were drybrushed with biege. Very lazy method, but works good for later work with speed-painted 40K figs.
This one had an ugly face (face was too wide around the eyes), but I managed to fix it by applying lots of purple eyeshadow to the sides.
This was my most ambitious one. I tried to do a design on the kimono, and some snow here and there. The snow was drybrushed white, and worked well. Too impatient with the kimono design, and didn't use a good brush with thinned-paints... Gah. But there are little details like 3 mini dolls hidden here and there on the sculpt. The facial features are a bit coarse on the sculpt, but you can fix it with some 'make-up'.
As a team, this one came out best. Spent the most time and effort layering the flesh on the girl in pink, and doing the lace.
This guy basically painted himself. The detail made it easy.
Anyone in the forum still collecting Anima Tactics?
