That's right! We've planned something a bit special for this week's hobby night.

At the hobby tables :
1. Airbrushing 101
- you've heard all about what this magical contraption can do. You're heard about single-action, double-action, top feed, bottom feed, air pressure etc. You want to find out more to learn if it's suitable for your hobby needs. Well, you're definitely in luck!!! This week i'll be bringing my trusty ol air compressor coz Alvin wants to prime and basecoat some of his models. Which practically means that the newly appointed Legio officer has volunteered to give a demonstration and answer all your questions about airbrushing
- i'm pretty sure he'll let you have a go if you ask nicely.

2. Share N Tell table
- this is something new that we're starting this week. What is it? It's basically a Share N Tell table where you can display one single miniature model per week. Why would you want to do that you ask?
Good question....and here's some answers.
> you've just completed painting a model and want to share it with your friends
> you've just completed sculpting/converting/modifying a model and would appreciate some comments on how to improve it further or ideas on paint schemes.
> you're currently painting a model and can't figure out that one detail that you're missing.....what are friends for.
The fundamental spirit for this is to share your current projects. And hopefully find inspiration and help inspire others
No hard and fast rules. One model per week. It can be WIP or completed work. Models must be taken back once Hobby Night finishes.
Shukor will bring one of his big Nids. I will bring my Silver Skulls land speeder. Anyone else?

At the gaming tables :
1. I'll be bringing my Angels Sanguine and Saim-Hann army for a game with a newly promoted Captain of the Blood Angels. He's killed his fair share of chaos, xenos and anything else in between. Then he heard that there's also a tabletop game version and wants to give it a try
Any other new players are also welcomed to join us!!

2. Play-testers required
We are planning a 40k on-going event and would appreciate players who could help us to play-test the system. All you need to do is bring a legal FOC army of 1K - 2K and play your normal games. Your army does not have to be painted but reasonably WYSIWYG. Details of the system will be explained on the night. Nothing complicated but should be fun.

3. Or you can play your normal games with friends like you've done every Hobby Nights

Whichever strikes your fancy is fine. As usual please RSVP with names

Very interesting, especially on the air brush tutorial, but not sure whether I can reach Subang on time... you guys start on 8pm or 9pm?

Usually I'll be there by 5pm or so, but we start around 6. I'll be airbrushing 6 Blood Angels and 3 Chaos Vindicators, it will definitely take some time.

airbrush tutorial sounds awesome. not sure if i can make it though.

Well, it's too bad if you can't make it, but don'rt worry, I'll buy my own compressor in due time and I can always show it to you how it's done.

Sounds really fun, Alvin! Wish I could join, but this Friday got Easter practice in church. Have fun!

limp: we start at 5-6, but goes on all the way up till 11-12 at night..

For Battlefront security purpose

Yup, I really want to see at least 12+ people tomorrow night since we're putting a lot of effort into making Hobby Night really interesting.

Just as the title says, Hobby Night this week was awesome!

We got to see almost every aspect of the hobby being worked on tonight.

I did airbrushing, managed to finish 3 Chaos Vindicators, Satin Varnish 5 of my Blood Angels, colour my Sanguinary Priest.

Shukur was furiously painting his Tyranids.

Goh/Limp was having a sculpting/assembling/painting/converting session with Iqbal.

Hakim got a big tutorial game from Khairul.

I got a game with Chris, watched Subhan and Rizal throw down after Chris ran over Subhan's Necrons.

I would say that we must have more Hobby Nights like this, especially next week. With booze. Coz I didn't have any this week.

(I'll try to bring some booze and visit next week...)

correction : not I guess, I *owe* him. Based on the logic of "Do or do not...there is no try." Jedi master Khair... I mean Yoda.

Usually it's BYOB, but we share with whoever that BYOB's and I'm the Boozemasta.

And yes, it was a very good hobby night
I managed a draw against Hakim. One thing the game has taught me is that i'm rusty qith the rules....only one solution to that>>>play more games. So i'll be bringing 1750 worth of saim-hann next week.

But i so want to spend some time at the painting tablea and learn to paint from Limp. Saw his night lords raptor and its was very nicely painted!!

Which should i do....i think i'll.....aaaaaaa no thinking. Do or Do Not

@Khairul : dudeski, correction on "learn to paint from Limp", you paint wayyyy batter than me.. , if there is any learning involve, its the other way round =)

ps: I can bring my 1750 (very [and probably the only] non competitive) Black Legion if you need a gaming opponent... But if you have other opponent in mind, I'm more than happy to hit the painting table

Limp- you're being too humble man.
But do bring your 1750 Black Legion. We haven't seen a traitor legions for a while now. Be good to have them represented again.
I'm supposed to have a game with Chris but i'll have a game with you. Whoever comes first i guess.
And i'm sure Hakim is already building his 1750 BA list after last night's game So that's another player added to the roster.

Just finished hobby night and i'm already building my saim-hann list for next week hehe.

Btw....don't forget to bring the 'special' thing we discussed last night

Then you go ahead with Chris, I'm pretty slow with the game, I will be hitting paint table instead =)
