PostSubject: (terrain) A good day in my den   (terrain) A good day in my den EmptyMon Jul 02, 2012 12:08 pm

Yesterday was a good day. Did a quick run with alvin in diablo3 then went to work painting my DE and reviving old DE models I found 2 of my old cloaked DE incubi that i use to use with my old DE force! it was hidden inside a box of stuff i put as trash bits...

I am thinking to buy the aegis defense bastion set... and the landing pad to complete my factory set. So alvin if ur reading it, save it for me till my next months budget for me hobby.

This is someone else punya Cloak incubi but just to share how the cloak incubi look like, this are very RARE models as they only come with Vect raider. But i am going to replace to top part of the shaft with a newer DE spear points.

You can see my two Cloak incubi in this pic but its a little small

This is my terrain pics, I use some discarded Styrofoam that i went hunting around my housing area (new area so a lot of people moving in), found a nice large piece and took it back.

With the foam i made
x1 med hill
x2 large hill with fortifications at the top
x6 rock formations
x1 base for my VK factory (for dust) but can also use for 40k as some mining facility.

I like the base you use for the plants. Are those Hirst bricks or have you sculpted them yourself? Nicely done...

Yup.. looks nice.. This maybe just me, but those simple fake flowers looks so alien when applied to 40k tables. love it!

yeap, I think I am going to get more plants from that store its in paradigm mall, beside popular and I just realize, beside that store is a model train store, prob can find more modeling stuff for my table ^^,

I want to use some for the imperial sector I am buying soon to make it look like its has been over-run with vegetation.

I am thinking of a jungle ruin theme, with imperial sector ruins and the temple of skulls as a centre piece

owh blee those bricks are part of the plant model... kinda looks really good huh Very Happy i might use some of the plants as it is and some I will remove them from that brick base... and put them on a nice plasticard base using the brick base as some terrain bits for other pieces.
