7th Panzer Rides Again!

Last Friday I rushed together a tank-themed list - and I could only fit in 6 Leman Russ. I know I was able to do 8 before ... maybe that was in 2000pts.

Anyways, went back to my trusty Excel and came up with this. Will be visitiing Legio shores next Friday with the Brandenburger panzertruppen!

this should be fun, but quite difficult to play

my wyches will look rather silly when they fight this list...

well, just slaughter/capture/toy with the 25 strapping young Brandenburger lads escorting the tanks - on foot!!!

come to think of it, they prob wont even reach the tanks... even if my whole army now has haywire grenades, my paper planes will be crashing down and its units shredded by hbt

Your whole army has haywires? wah, that's going to hurt. I don't know your list. If you have enough paper plane raiders, enough will reach. The problem with my list is that there's really not enough infantry support. And fighting in the city would be suicide for me!

Still.. If I luck permits, I'd really like to have another go with my Necrons

my fav fight with lan panzer company was the funny pointblank fire fight between his Vanquisher and my hammerhead...

we shot at point blank and miss for 2 turns before him hitting home in the 3rd turn...

That was really funny. BS3 and BS4 both the same ... cannot hit

Not related to army lists but that is one very nice Gryphonne Vanquisher. Did you have any problems with the long barrel?

I was thinking of getting forgeworld vanquisher turrets but i am worried that the barrels might get distorted.

Thanks. I like the model too I lost the searchlight a few years back in a freak accident at home. Yes, the barrel was warped. Fixed it a bit, but you can still see that it's slightly bent. My Laser Destroyer is even worse.

I would highly recommend the FW Vanquisher turret, especially the Gryphonne (looks more like WW2). The ones that come with the current plastic kit has a barrel that's way too short. Of course, you can always convert a longer barrel (that's very easy, just use a pen barrel. I did exactly that for my first Vanquisher, which is still on active duty). But the FW design is actually more Gothic/crude compared to the current turrets, which I feel are too "smooth" and "modern"
