I am currently in Necron mode. But seeing other DE posts makes me wanna bring my DE back into action. This here is the latest incarnation of my DE.

The list is not much different than my usual list, except that I traded the greatness of Archon with 2 Succubus. Summore this list sacrifices protection (in the form of Flickerfield, Nightshield and Shadofield) but focus more towards suppressing enemy with large numbers.

I really miss the Desintegrator Cannons, so I'll play them once in a while.

I haven't playtested the list against any of my armies. If time permits, by tonight the Necrons will be the very 1st guinea pigs to try this list.

So how was it guys.

Correct me if I'm wrong but to get an Agonizer, one Wych has to be upgraded to a Hekatrix?

yeaps and you cant have both agonizer and hydra Gauntlet on the succubus

its either replacing your ccw with a special weapon

or replace all weapons with wych weapons ae - hydra gauntlet

You are not wrong.. It was my fault for not mentioning the Hekatrix upgrade. I thought it was easily understood. Anyway, the points mentioned already include Hekatrix upgrade.

Worry not.. I'll update the list to avoid anymore confusion. Thanks for the reminder

I've tried the list against my Necrons. The 1st game DE won, 2nd Game Necron won.

What I learned
DE side:
- Hydra Gauntlet is so not worth it.
- Nightshield on Ravager is a must against Necrons.
- So next game, I'll drop Hydra Gauntlet and give my Ravagers Nightshield.

Necron side:
- Lychguard with Dispersion Shield isn't as good as the one with Warscythe. The Shield helps, but not much with my crappy saves.
- Poison weapons sucks, waste my high Toughness.

Razorfail are much more useful, i only use the gauntlet cause I dont have enough razorfails for the whole army.

Yup, razorflails are good option, but I always think that it is only a worthy buy for Bloodbrides with their base of 2 attacks. 4 attacks on the charge, reroll to hit and to wound is a don't play-play . Since 3 Bloodbrides can take them in a unit of 9 --> 12 attacks with rerolls!!

By tonight I think I can finish my Harbinger of Despair. Then If I got time, will do a trial game vs my 13th Co. using the same list, but change the Hydra Gauntlet to install 2 Ravagers with Nightshields. Summore, the 2 Ravagers will be packing Desintegrator Cannons this time.

I'm done with the final touch up on my Razorwings.. So definitely gonna bring it in the next game. Because of that.. some changes had to be made to the list, the 2nd Succubus had to go.

Not much changes, except that now there's a Jetfighter and all 3 units of Reavers take Blaster instead of Heatlances. Looking forward to the next game.

Why Blaster instead of Heat Lance? Your gonna have to Turbo to get into range kan? So isnt Melta and AP1 better than the Lance?

well, for one thing heat lances have a magic range - which is dangerous for reavers who can't do anything in CC.

blasters on the other hand are effective at 18inches.

Consider the extra 6 inches that Reavers have, they can be 24inches away from the enemy after blowing up their transports.

Heat Lance still ok you know?
9" to get the additional melta D6 armour penetration.
Then jump away to safety 6" meaning you will be 14-15" away from enemy's counter attack.

Haiyah.. I forgot. The list has two more units:
2 x 3 Trueborn | 2 Splinter Cannons (in Venom with 2 Splinter Cannons)

Heatlance is okay.. but three things:
i) you'll most probably be in range for counter after shooting. 14-15 inches means they'll be in Rapid Fire range.
ii) you can't hurt Storm Raven (Damn I hate the damn thing!!)
iii) you can't instakill Paladins/Nobz/Tyranid Warriors/Crisis Suits/ICs

Blaster on the other hand:
i) you don't have to leave your cover for that 9 inches melta range.
ii) you can shoot 18 inches and be 24 inches away afterwards.
iii) you hurt monsters on 2+ and instakill T4 multiwound models

But of course, losing AP1 sucks a bit.
