After learning(the hard way) that charging headlong in to a battle will only get your army annihilated, I decided to use a more conventional approach.

HQ
Korsarro Khan - Command Squad, Company Standard, Champion, 3 Storm Bolters.
Dedicated Trans.- Razorback- Hunter Killer Missile.

Troops
10 Tactical Squad - Flamer.
Sergent - Plasma Pistol, Power fist.
Dedicated Trans.- Rhino- Hunter Killer Missile.
5 Tactical Squad
Sergent - Power weapon, Plasma Pistol.

Elites
Terminator Assault Squad - Storm Shields, Thunderhammer.
Dedicated Trans.- Land Raider Crusader.

Heavy Support
Predator - Twin Linked Lascannon
Predator - Autocannon, two sponson mounted Lascannon.

The total is about 1414pts. Planning to add some more troops to make it to 1500.
I want some advice on why you guys never use a Predator or a Command Squad.

I use predator all the time bro. But the main issue with Predators is mobility, weak side armour and the fact that in all previous ed, you can stop a Pred just by glancing it once. Not to mention that SM have other better means to take out tanks such as MMelta Attack Bikes and Land Speeders. That's why you didn't see lots of Preds on table.

In 6th ed, you can't stop a Pred with glance anymore, and the fact that you cant harm them with small firearms makes Predators a competitive option. But Attack bikes and Speeders also gained so much in 6th. So in the end, it all depends on your own preference.

For White Scars, the best Tank Hunters would be MMelta Attack Bikes and Dual MMelta Speeders. But if you really wanna try Pred, then the best setup is AC + SideLasscannons.

As for the Command Squad, they're okay. But depends on the setup. If you setup wrongly, then they will go to waste. But your Command Squad setup, I don't think they'd do well bro.

Now onto your list, without changing the overall structure:

Korsarro Should ride with Terminators.

These guys works best in close range Firefight. So you should maximised their potential at Rapid Fire Range. Drop the PFist and Plasma Pistol for a PWeapon + Meltabombs + CombiMelta/Plasma. Then with the 10 points balance, buy a Plasma/Meltagun.

It is up to you, but Tacticals are better because they can score. But Command squad is more killy due to multiple Special Weapons. Not to mention, they also has FnP.

I sold off my bikes already.....with all these beefed up armies around, they just charge to their deaths. Especially against GK.
Now, White Scars are going to follow the conventional tactic with a bit more armour.

I loved them....but someone else needed them more and for a good price.

White scar fluff is great but game wise...sucks.
Try charging head on into combat and your enemy will have a field day, turkey shooting your bikes.

Actually, it's one of the most hardest units to crack. Shaun was terrorizing hobby forge with his Captain, Librarian and Bike Squad combo - Librarian had Biomancy powers, and he aimed for 'Endurance', giving the unit FnP. Basically he always gets FnP unless it's a S10 shot!

yup. and not to mention now bikers will always get a 5+ cover saves due to jink as long as they moved. They are pretty resilient.

if my CSM codex don't have the awesome cheap spawns, I would have gone for bikers as my Lord's bodyguards.

I agree about the 5+jinx save but seriously, would you have an armored company or bikers zooming everywhere, getting shot at?
DE jetbikes can do a lot of damage but not the normal bikes.

errr... doc, if you have bikers zooming everywhere, you could easily maneuver them not get shot at compared to infantries.

normal bikes can still do damage depends how you equip them. they must have a kitted out character riding with them though.

example, i can have 10 CSM khorne bikers with 2 meltaguns. Is still not as scary as having 1 Chaos Lord on bike with 5 bikers. Is the deliverance of the puch that counts.

like what Dann said, Shaun's list was effective because he has this killy Captain on bike that goes with the bikers. Is tough to kill them with T5 5+ cover and probably FnP due to "Endurance".

seriously doc, have a game or two with them with the advises shared in mind. Proxy them first if you still not convinced.

and like they say, white scars without any bikes is like playing world eaters without any berzerkers.

doc, don't bank on armour anymore - they've taken a really bad blow. The survivability of a Predator is disgraceful!

You should've stick to the way of Bikers. Like what Joe mentioned, bikers gained so much in 6th. To name a few:
i. Jink 5+
ii. Immune to S8 ID
iii. Dangerous terrain not as dangerous,
iv. Turbo boosting in shooting phase,
v. Hammer of Wrath.
vii. Relentless Plasmaguns
They're good. What you need is to learn well how they work. Outflanking is a good ability especially for MMelta attack bikes.

Thank you all for your valuable input.
Basically, all my bikes are sold Sad...and I am building a SM army that could outflank with their dedicated transports. With Kor'sarro around all my Rhinos, Razorbacks and the LRs can outflank.
I was also thinking of adding Kavyaan Shrike and 5 vanguard veterans with jet packs as a Fast Attack choice, but for 1500pts, I cannot add them in.

Okay.. to help out here. Something you need to always remember is that Reserves/Outflankers can never assault upon entering. So with that in mind, IMHO the best unit for outflankers would always be shooting ones. Example:
i. 10 man Tacticals | Sgt with CombiPlasma+Meltabombs, Plasmagun, Lasscannon (in LasPlas Razorback). Combat Squad and deploy the Lasscannon Team, outflank the Plasma units. I never tried this before, but theoretically, good against both Infantries and Light Vehicles.

ii. 5 Man Devastators | 4 Missile Launchers (in TwinLass Razorback). I've tried this setup in 5th. Very nice coz suddenly you have a heavy weapon team flanking the enemy. Much better in 6th since we can now Snapfire. Against enemy with Heldrake, my advice is go 2nd.

iii. 10 man Tacticals | Sgt with PWeapon+CombiPlasma+Meltabombs, HeavyWeapon (in Rhino). Strong scoring unit, to capture objectives.

Nope.. you don't need them bro. Waste of points.

Also bear in mind the new rules for reserves. Only half can be put into reserves, so when building a list, take that into considerations.
