FANTASY EPIC BATTLES @QUEENSBAY MALL...

The first weekend was awesome, so thanks to TJ and all the Penang gamers who toiled to introduce the "Art of Warhammer" and Warhammer Fantasy/Escape from Goblin Town/Dreadfleet to the hordes of visitors!

though i must say the penang wargamers "call to arms" have been fantastic... they rally to the bigger cause of promoting the hobby - something i don't really see in kl where wargamers tend to rally only when their fav club or store is involved...

when the time comes (in kl), i hope i am wrong though ;-)

its hard to disagree with you there but i m sure there are multiple factors on why it is so here. off the top of my head something like "KL WARGAMES SHOP OWNERS GROUP" may be what we need but i can already assume the responses will be lukewarm at best. but i think that would be another topic for another time.

in any event, great job in penang!!!

don't worry, we'll keep on organizing events in kl and hopefully more wargamers will answer the call to arms; if not, we'll just give the penangites a nice holiday then to come down to help us ;-)

dammit. penangites get all the good stuff. the food, the free concerts and now this? hahahaha

well, changing the event focus in klang valley from targeting school kids to actual gamers/hobbyist with painted models will help.

I don't know if you'd agree with this, but none beats watching the epic-ness of fully painted armies on the table to promote the hobby.

fully agree - hence the beautiful models in penang ;-)

- 4 glass cabinets of warhammer fantasy figures (and blood bowl even!)
- open dreadfleet.
- open warhammer fantasy.
- open escape from goblin town.

come this sunday, 9 june, penang will see a truly epic fantasy battle (5 citadel gaming boards combined)...

having said that, the kids are still a vital piece since they not only outnumber the hobbyists by another planet, but they are also the ones who become hobbyists when they grow up.
