| Finally took this army out for a spin last night. It was awesome fun! Speed, firepower, xenos trickery, drama, comedy. First battle was against Rizal's intrepid Imperial Guard. 3 Vendettas vs 1 Crimson Hunter exarch. Seems like fair odds Speed really helped. It was a relic mission and I deployed split into two parts. But by turn 1 the left flank easily joined the right flank to focus the attack. Also, the Farseer's turbo boosting jetbike squad easily got into the enemy rear and took out the command squad manning aegis lines and quad gun. The Farseer actually took a liking to the crude monkeigh weapon and hung around there, shooting at enemy flyers. The poor humans were slaughtered on the ground. In the air, my Crimson Hunter exarch scored his first aerial kill, bringing down a Vendetta in one pass - vector dancing is good! Second battle was against Dann's Nids. Haven't fought Nids in awhile. I was lucky that deployment was the long one. He had to spend more turns coming at me. This was really bloody, with both sides losing a lot of models. At the start it looked like I was going to lose the fight. But after the FMC Tyrant was shot down (I was lucky - got sky fire nexus, which my Seer's squad's 2 shuriken cannons brushed w glee), the battle tipped to my favor. It was the first time that my Guardians and Dire Avengers had to disembark (the DA had no choice, their wave serpent was whacked by some angry Warriors) and I must say they were quite amazing. Not so much the DA, they were pinned when they bailed out (doh!) but they held in cc with the warriors finally getting wiped out w just one warrior left. The first time I used battle focus. Combined w massed shuriken, it's awesome! So 2 victories last night, and a whole bunch in a row since I rediscovered Eldar speed. Truly awesome. | |

| That was a rough match for me, from my tyrant not getting the psychic powers he wanted, to the doom only killing one jetbiker, n the tyrannofex not killing a single thing from shooting despite its 48" range.
there were interesting moments though, like my tervigons going into close combat across 30+ inch of eldar firepower hahaha... Btw I think your crimson hunter was supposed to be wrecked. U only get locked velocity on an imo result right? 5 is a wrecked result isn't it?
anyway fun game, was cutting it to the final turn at 2am and we weren't even sure if u would win.
next time we meet, I'll bring my dark eldar!

| 5 is immo. There's no wrecked result on pen table. But it was an awesome game! I thought your bugs would have carried the day for sure | |

| i think GW finally did right with Guardians. Improved weapons, BS and WS makes them a foe I'd rather engage at a significant distance... more than 18" actually.

| Forgot to update on the game vs Faizal's new drop pod space wolves. His new list is pretty aggressive, with 5 drop pods delivering termies, wolf guards n 3 grey hunter packs right at your door step. These are backed by 2 long fang packs, a thunder wolf cavalry pack, a lord n 2 mon keigh psykers.
Thus was an objective game w the diagonal deployment. Half my army were deployed behind civer near enemy lines, while my 4 long range tanks deployed far away. His long fangs and wolves were deployed in the far right corner. I got first turn, and the part of my army deployed near him turbo boosted or flat out right to the other flank to join the long range tanks. Those tanks sidled up slightly and took pot shots at the wolf cavalry, killing 3. I was simply preparing for his drop pod assault and when that came, it was brutal. He scored first blood by killing 1 fire prism and the serpent carrying the dire avengers. My return fire was equally brutal - almost the entire army opened fire on the wolves arriving by drop pod and wiped out everyone except for the termies. The 2 remaining long range tanks - fire prism and serpent- started shooting at the long fangs (btw, throughout the game I stayed out of range of the long fangs, and by the time the survivors moved into range, the battle was over). A 4th drop came in but this time the smaller number of meant that my tanks were safe. But he shot up one of the bike squads, who survived w 2 bikes left. But drop pod storm bolters killed a lot of guardians though. His termies charged my avengers, who broke and fled. Next turn my return fire continued, wiping out the newly arrived grey hunters, while the just arrived crimson hunter wiped out the remaining termies. Long range firepower almost wipes out one long fang pack. The shot up bike squad broke when the attached warlock was killed by perils. The last drop pod came in and targeted my falcon, which survived (holofield rocks!). As usual, return fire wipes out the newly arrived grey hunters. The rest of my army wiped out the wolf cavalry (which was finally in mid range) while the 2 long range tanks almost wipes out the 2nd long fangs pack. The Wolves conceded after that. They had lost 3 grey hunter, 1 wolf guard, 1 termie and 1 cavalry pack, plus almost 2 long fang packs - a total of around 59 mon keigh dead. Eldar lost 1 serpent, 1 prism, the Dire Avengers and 1 bike squad.

| Last night had to be one of the most hilarious 40k games I've had in a long time! Windriders against thr Necron-Tau alliance of Mr Chaos. I must say his army looked really scary with wraiths and lords and warriors and Necron war machines and flyers supported by tau markerlights, riptide and kroots. Windriders won the battle, leaving only the kroots and some markerlight drones. I lost a falcon, the Vypers, jetbike squad and the Farseer.
That's part of the funny part. After the farseer triumphantly killed the Necron lord destroyer in one on one mortal combat, the 2 jetbike squads (each w warlock) pummeled away at the sole surviving wraith (w 1 wound left) - and scored zero wounds! The wraith killed one biker, and his squad broke! Fleeing off-table w the Farseer in tow. Guess he was scared of ghosts. The other funny part (maybe Karl didn't find it too funny) was his riptide. That thing can survive all kinds of AP2 wounds w his amazing invul saves - I only managed to score 2 wounds against it. The others came from: 2 overheats, and a burning doom scythe crashing right into its face.
Anyways, the Windriders performed well. I made a couple of mistakes - the Vypers were too close to the wraiths. And when I sprung my trap in the wraiths, I forgot to disembark the dire avengers and guardians - that's a lot of wasted shuriken. Anyways, it was fun nonetheless. Not too mention hilarious!

| Ya man. I must say the Windriders are doing pretty well. Paxter's Tau beat them once, and after that the Windriders got their revenge in the very next game. And the crimson hunter is one sexy dogfighter | |

| The game at Legio with Azlan was one of the funniest game I have ever played. I have never laughed so much in one 40k sitting.
Between scaring off the jetbike squad with that single one wound Canoptek Wraith, the super kau kau terrible rolls on the Riptide was shamefully epic. What a way to go.
Lesson learned, bring my own dices!
