23rd tau mechanized forward expedition force

Getting a bit bored of the gunline tau. Decided to try a mechanized tau division. I try to mirror it to modern equivalent,  so I got my APC, MBT, combat support vehicle, recon teams, spec ops and a gunship.

I doubt it will be competitive but wanna try play it this whole week wife is working on a pitch including all those public holidays. So come lets play!



HQ

Ethereal + Homing beacon
- My Captain will be barking orders and holding the ranks of the grunts

Cadre fireblade
- Master Sergeant to keep the lines troops "in line", and calling out targets for the rest of the army.

I got this obsession with seekers the list has some 22 one shot missiles lol

That's a pretty sweet list! Very thematic! It's still going to blow my AirCav out of the sky! I'll be there on Friday, and likely Wednesday afternoon and Thursday afternoon too! let's game!

lol.... yea. the battle report quite explain it all. pitting it against a competitve Eldar - Tau list. Kill off the synapse creatures of the nids and you see the whole army crumbles (and is not hard to kill off these few bugs without any inv saves). lol

lucky me still got my Chaos armies. lol

Lol. Pax, I think the new Nids are perfect for you - just need to take 500pts more than the opponent

That was pretty bad the instincts mechanic is fine but in its current form it will cripple the nid player. Fire all missiles at that synapse thing!

i think if i'm to fight pax, have to bring my better tested list (my daemons) so I don't waste his time.

It will be auto lose if he brings R'Varna which specialized on killing ground MCs. Other than that, would be a good fight, though odds are more towards the Tau I think.

tau riptide can shoot incoming aircraft but can it shoot mawlock coming from below. Pax sekarang elite siut. aggressive gile

tried this list yesterday, VS marines a bit damn hard to play if I go second, cause he drops his dpods into my lines and unlike the previous list whereby the riptides really come into play with their interceptor I cant really fight back and lost pretty badly yesterday. Also I kinda played on the short table edge I should have had an advantage but I completely forgot he put two thunderfire cannons at the back and I should have measure and place my army outside his 60" inches... owh well... noob mistake. lost like half my army from my noobness

I wont call it quits yet but need to think more... if i really want to make this work. Definitely more interceptor but Avoiding using riptides for nw

yup... riptide is like a no brainer unit now for Tau. just like a heldrake for CSM. but if you can make a list that works without these power house units and win, the victory is much sweeter.

*speaking from experience using my Huron Horde of DOOOM without heldrakes...

I think can one this list, but just really cannot afford to do stupid mistakes lol
