Where got 9 Oblits? Only 8 la..

Acid test game? Sure!! But not anytime soon la, very bz weekend coming up..

This time, I came up with an even more of a regular CSM list..I don't even take a named character for my HQ. Again, I'm combining my CSM with the Renegade IG elements.


Needless to say, this is my attempt to challenge Pax's Tau-Pao list hehe!!

@Dann: Wei...I seem to remember reading that comment somewhere..You just cut & paste aren't cha!

@Others: No spc character & no Oblits + 40 infantries to boot as Troop choices!! This definitely qualifies as a regular non-cheese-tournament-friendly list hehe!!

@Pax: Since you are using Longstrike (Prefered Enemy IG), thus I purposely use allied IG detachment with my CSM. Its fluffy!

I've been cracking my head trying to build a descent anti-Eldar/Tau CSM List. Most of the Eldars in Klang Valley employs W-Knight + 3-4 Serpents, so they are well rounded & making it difficult for CSM   to counter.

What do you guys think of the lists below? I believe, it all comes down to who gets to go 1st, isn't it?

Kalau boleh ambik min 5 cultists per sqd. sudah lama aku buat bos!

I'm so glad I don't fall into the "most of Klang Valley" category of Eldar armies

Most Eldar armies in Klang Valley has Wraithknight(s) and 3-4 Wave Serpents?
Don't know where you got that notion coz I've only seen 1 person (Ben) with that set-up.

i think 1 wraithknight yes... 3-4 wave serpents? no.

WS is just so good. I would take 3 for my Eldar. But then again, I don't play Eldar hahaha..

It izn't? I thought WK & WS are the centre elements of current Eldar players. Since that isn't so, that's good news for me.

For a 3+ save, the wraithknight is too expensive for what it can do..
I'd rather take a full squad of warp spiders without exarch rather than taking a wraithknight..

I think with the wraithknight we will see more ID weapons. For ex, the last time I fought a knight, it was scared to come out cuz of rakarth...

it's good, but I dunno if it's all that. One good joww or implosion missile n it's goodbye 200+ pts!

Sure or not? At 240, it can instakill DPs, has 6 wounds at T8, 4 Attacks at I5, a JMC and has 2 S10 shots at effective range of 48. The damn thing is way too cheap for what it can do!

I am in an agreement too with the rest wraithknights are not that great for their cost and utility. Serpents are scary to meet but bit wee too expensive to be taken in big numbers

It all depends on how u play your W-Knight, & how u plan to support/buff the model.

Although I don't have the actual model, I've tested it in 2 test games @ even more expensive cost of 300pts. Its a humongous blunt-strike unit meant to be used aggressively i.e. a front-line bruiser. To me, using its default heavy W-Cannons is a waste. U want a mobile long-range anti-tank unit, a sqdrn of 3 Brightlance W-Walkers would be cheaper & more effective.

But hey, whatever works for your W-Knight. U don't like it, no problemo. If I have the $, its gonna be a must have in my Eldar.

240 is cheap. Compare that to the C'tan shard heheh..

If only it looks exactly like an Eldar Titan, but on a smaller scale, then it would be perfect.

Ya kah? That is the 1st time I heard that.

For a non-Eldar player like me, I think it looks Eldarish enough. The only thing I don't like is the head. Should be smooth like Wraithguards/lords.

Then, just swap the W-Knight's head with the head of Eldar Revenant Titan, that would be just nice..

..anybody got an extra Eldar Revenant Titan's head somewhere?
