Expedition Response Cadre - Legio tourney 1850

Adjusted my tau more felt it lacked mobility n a bit weak on troops. So i squeeze out more juice from the army keeping my main punchers intact and still add more troops. The two devilfish units will be my forward army and with them they will have the deepstriking crisis suites, and kroot outflank unit. I am temporarily putting the tetras in the shelve since legio might have a lock down or a ban on FW models. 


HQ: Commander + Drone Controller (BS5 for drones) + 2 Marker Drone

Elite: XV8 Crisis Team + Fusion Blaster x1 + Plasma Rifle x1

Elite: XV104 Riptide + Ion Accelerator + Early Warning Override(interceptor) + Velocity Tracker (skyfire)

Elite: XV104 Riptide + Ion Accelerator + Early Warning Override(interceptor) + Velocity Tracker (skyfire)

Troops: Fire Warrior Team x6 Fire Warriors + EMP Grenade(haywire) + Pulse Carbines(pinning) + Devilfish + Smart Missile System

If true, that sounds weird coming from Legio. AFAIK, all you need is original copy of the rules and actual model to play it.

Is not regular when that kinda list can table my chaos orks with 4 flyers. @.@!!

@Dann: I don't know in what way you are calling that a 'regular' list. 

@Pax: I'm taking your list as a challenge. Maybe i'll seriously consider an air-cav list just to see whether all those AAA or my flyers that will last.

That that list was not funny. Teaches Eldar guardians to not leave their serpents at home. Found that it was less scary after you take out markerlights. Also, the Tau needs turn 1. My poor Crimson Hunter got shot down by SMS from 1 Riptide. Nasty. Need a rematch vs my Rangers. And also my mech Guardians. On the upside, it was the first time I used the new Vypers - squad of 3. Awesome!

It is a regular list tho riptides are not that great crisis suits output more pain. Only diff riptides are highly versatile they can indirect fire, shoot down planes, intercept opponents special moves, and mow down infantry. I kinda feel its very balance between long medium n short range fire power.

riptides are harder kill as we can't instant death them and they have longer range of firepower. crisis suits can probably kill 1 unit and due to its short range, will probably get counter-assaulted and die or locked down in combat. so my votes for cheesiness still goes to Riptide. More cheese when you are playing 2 of them!

please... like as if 6 fmc or 4 fliers is not cheese. I did not abuse anything nor min max my army  N riptides are not that ganas vs something like a wraith knight... or like someone I know that is fielding 3 wraithknights very soon.

There's nothing in the list I haven't faced in 5th ed before la. And as for riptides - if I can kill 3, 2 with a Flying Hive Tyrant and 1 from gargoyles, (not even Turn 3) I don't see why anyone can complain about them  And by the way, the gargoyles sweeping advanced it.

true... alah its all to the eye of the one looking at it... at the moment i get some hostility using my tau  from some people. To whom I have fought against this list is it really that broken? 

P.S - the two riptides are there, not bcs of their OPness I bought them before I knew what they even can do lol... Saw the models n loved them so I bought 2 on the day it went on sale... just after 8 games I learn to adept and use them right

No need to be defensive lah Pax.. It's not your fault that your Tau works so good.

But if you think your list is too powerful already, maybe it would be good sometimes if you can tailor your list to the power level of your opponent (list) or just go easy. That would make it more fun for both side.

I dun think pax is being defensive. More like other players are being offensive.

I would personally like to see some of us in the forum tailoring their list to their opponents' (usually lower) level.

aint being defensive. just annoyed, with the jizz about the young race... noob friendly la, ban the army la, tbh its coming from the mentality of 5th ed n playing as if its 5th ed and losing out in 6th ed.

Hahaha..relax everybody. As for me, I'm taking Pax's list as a challenge that need to be resolved, especially for my regular CSM army.

just play your army la. is your army. don't let others affect your army choice. you spent so much money on it, is only fair you get to play what you like. if they can't handle it, is not your fault.

By the way, agree with CikguDin's mentality.

Example: There are only 2 types of losers I can be (when I lose to a super uber cheesy army). Either I go back and re-think how to improve and challenge that army again or I whine or complain on that army that I will never get to win and hope that player tone down his list.
I guess the choice is up to me.

so i got the new updated tetra rules... bit of a nerf but not too bad 38 points for a tetra used to be 50, but you lose the heavy 4 marker light now its heavy 2 twin link... rest of the stats are ok. It would be a bigger nerf for those who relied on the tetra +1 bs upgrade but i din use that cause i know that was going out of the window.

your commander with marker drones combo is good enough. maybe have a unit of pathfinders is good.
