The not quite filler Genestealer that I paid some attention to the details. I amuse myself by painting some faint glowing effect on the ruin termi armor base.






And oh, Sally, this is actually done a couple weeks back... but I'm stuck and having no idea how to continue... the "behind" (engine) part was suppose to look like a chest torn open by hand with biomachanic innard floating around... but I guess to finish everything might too another long while (next year, perhaps?)




And assembled, based coated some stuff from Kingdom Death =D I a big fans of their sculpt and model.

@hakim : bro, the jewel thingy is annoyingly ez if u have tiny enuff brush, just paint the tear drop jewel black, color it lightly at bottom (scropion green, blood red, warlock purple, enchanted blue, ur choice...), one dot of skull white at the bottom one dot on top (optional) and you are ready to go =D

hahaha... why you ask.. didnt you notice that in 6th ed you need lots of terrains. so.. just to help out the gaming society i decided to build some. It would be great for our gaming club if gamers could build and contribute terrain. At least we have different terrain to play on the table. And we can also use them for tournament and events if needed be it at legio or Alvin with permission that is. All we need to do is decide on the proper terrain setup then build them. Select a particular theme.. dessert, city, rocky hill...& etc. Im currently building terrain for rocky dessert.

Before praises comes some minor details I want to point out but I don't think you can correct them now anyways.

1. Bendy sword - not your mistake but couldn't you make it straight again or contact the company for a new one?

2. Mold lines. Not much to say lah, haha.

3. Panty, if you didn't paint them, then it would be more questionable otherwise... try looking at other painted ones as reference to see how they paint their's.

Other than that, I believe it's still WIP right?? The flesh looks quite nice, I want to paint my SPM models in that flesh tone too. May I ask how you painted it?

PS: try to resize your pics between 640x480 to 1024x768, so it doesn't stretch the thread for most people.

@diff : muahahahaha... I hardly game, but I'm more than willing to paint some terrain if u need help ;-)

@Jake : ditto on most of the point... I'm kinda regret not properly clean up the mold line, but this kit is actually tiny, and the mold line is on those tiniest part, (sword hilt, arms, you name it), I always have fear I might break those up when I deal with the mold line... Bendy sword, actually, they give a spare sword as multipart, guess what, it's bent too...LOL, should have use some hot water/hair blower to straighten it.

The color that I used for skin tone are:
1.) Dwarf Flesh
2.) Elf Flesh
3.) Skull white
4.) (Watered down) Devlan Mud Wash

base coat white,

first go Elf Flesh(dont water down, or its quite hard to cover all white),

Watered down Dwarf Flesh to wash into cleavage, belly button, abs, the portion under the cloak

Elf Flesh to cover up mistakes and and blending the "edge" portion of overdone dwarf flesh

Water down Devlan Mud to create shadow (cleavage again, belly button, the left and right side of the abs.

Skull white to hightlight boobies and abs, some highlight on thigh =)

ps: Should wash (as in badab black or devlan mud wash) the model first so some details will pop, I miss this step and painfully trying to cover up some white line that I missed

ps2: using a tiny brush helps alot on blending skin color.

ps3: will resize... din realize the first one is in it's original size...
