Btw should I split the one unit of broadsides to 3...

basically it becomes 3 units

broadside x1 Missile drones x2 + Early warning override

broadside x1 Missile drones x2 + Velocity tracker

Taking from Vuels idea and some brain power playing with battlescribe (btw u guys should try it, its free and is more updated than Armybuilder + it is also on app store and google play)


I am calling this commander variant Lantern Fish (bcs it will have a lantern like thing just like the fish I don't think I have seen it used before even on other forums. I feel for his points value he is a great deal! he caps at 160pts, His wargear is as follows -

Puretide Engram Neurochip, Velocity tracker + twinlink missile pods (actually there is no point making it twinlink at BS5 but I modelled my commander already and its painted so gotta ride with that)

and the key ingredient + XV84 battlesuit [FW] comes with a Networked markerlight + Target lock

With this setup and riding with the broadsides they get -

+ 1 markerlight at BS5 with velocity tracker enabled. Meaning the broadsides can use his markerlight to boost the broadsides to snapfire at BS2. (I know velocity trackers are more ideal, but its a bit too expansive for me, but in this set up, I can fire 12 S7 twinlink 12 S5 sms Twinlink at BS2 and also reroll wounds) And the missile drones can still fire another target or target the flyer too.
+ He can still fire his missile pack either AA or Ground (target lock) and the markerlight (multi tracker)
+ Whole squad gets stubborn or Monster hunter or Tank hunter (cant remember the rest)

Rest of the army is pretty standard and is based on my 1500 list. (to avoid painting more stuff) I am so sexcited wanna try this list this friday!

I realize something interesting which has change my perception for the skyray..

1st off is my noobness - they are BS4! which means I have been playing them wrong!
2nd is more important I knew they can fire all their seeker at the same time if they did not moved. But what I realize is that you need only 3 marker lights to direct fire 6 BS5 Ignore cover, S8 AP3 seekers! SWEET!

you can still opt to fire 1 seeker to one marker light if you want to hit something out of LOS of the skyray. But the fire everything will be a better option! Not to mention the two network markerlights on the skyray are skyfire enabled so you can markerlight a flying target and offload everything at it.
