Yup.. and Interceptor also allows unit with Skyfire to target non-flyer units at full BS.

Sorry for the thread resurrection, but I don't play enough games to keep this thread active Very Happy


Had two games over the weekend - been a while since I've played so needed a rule-refresh-course.

1st game vs Necrons (The Scouring)
Deployed all my forces (except the Ravens) facing a full Necron force.
Had first turn and night-fighting was in effect.

First turn for me was basically jumping forward into open as fast as possible - I had to get to HTH Very Happy
His first turn wiped out 1 and a half units of SGuards, but did not have enough charge distance to finish off the other half unit.

My 2nd turn, both Storm Ravens came in and finished off all the Heavy Destroyers, while my remaining half unit and Dante's unit assaulted the Necron Warrior blob + Overlord + 2 Lords + Zandrekh + Obyron. The MSS took their toll, but luckily my SGuards could not hurt themselves with their AP3 weapons hahaha. I dealt enough wounds to cause a -5 modifier to Ld. He rolled a 6 and that was the end of the big blob.

On his turn 2, only 1 Necron Lord got back up. All that was left were 5 Necron Warriors from another unit and 2 Annihilation Barges. The game ended.


2nd game vs Kadir's World Eaters
Highlights included:
Him seizing the initiative.
Kharn wiping out (almost) 1 whole unit in one phase. 1 managed to make his FnP save.
Dante and Stormraven coming in, taking out a Land Raider and a Predator in one go.
Kharn killing a Priest in a challenge - then rolling a 2 and 1 in the Chaos gift chart... yup. Kharn the Betrayer turned into a Chaos Spawn...
The Heldrake survived the game, cuz I ignored it. It managed to kill 2 Guards though...
My 2 Stormravens had 2 and a half turns of shooting to dislodge 4 pesky terminators from my lines. Miraculously, they were truly blessed, and only 1 died from all those AP2 and AP1 shots...
Dante was the long survivor of my army (other than the Ravens) while Kadir had 6 Berserkers who captured an objective, a Rhino and the Heldrake.
A truly bloody battle, but at the end of the game he had an Objective (3vps) and Linebreaker (1VP). I had Slay the Warlord (1VP), First Blood (1VP) and Linebreaker (1VP). Kadir wins!

Yup.. very brutal game.

I had all the advantage due to the Seize Initiative. His 2 SanGuard units deployed earlier cannot do anything without the SR and Dante to lead the way. That allows Kharn to get close and do his thing early on.

By turn 3 I was getting all excited, seeing how the game went to my favour. But suddenly Kharn mutated into a spawn and that changes everything. Without his AP2 weapons, I need extra luck to go through the 2+ armour.

In the final stages of the game, with only Dante and 3 Sanguards, Dann managed to kill my SpawnLord and another unit of Berserkers. But with number of attacks, my Berserkers did great, killing all the Sanguards and reduced Dante to only one wounds.

The Terminators did nothing, except going to ground against all that AP1/2 weapons of the Stormraven. I woudn't have won if not because of them holding the Linebreaker VP.

It was a fun game indeed. Kharn Spawnhood only makes thing funnier Laughing

A brief report about The Longinus Initiative @ The Chosen:

1st mission vs Syamael
From the start I knew this would be a tough game. Basically I do not have the numbers to threaten Syamael, and I couldn't play a waiting game either, cuz he's got more firepower than me.
- Basically, his Thunderwolves did all the work - all my Sanguinary Guards died to the Cavalry.
- One lone Twolf with a Stormshield survived several power fists, dante's axe, several lascannon, melta and bloodstrike missiles. That totally messed up the game for me.
Lost very badly to Syamael.


2nd mission vs Jinn Wei's Black Templar
It was one of those missions where everything was perfect. The objective was simple, and he only had 2 AP1/2 weapons that were 24inches in range. Everything else bounced off the S Guards armour Very Happy
Highlights:
- By the end of T3, he had lost both Tact Squads, a Land Raider Crusader, 5 CC Termis, an Emperor's Champion and a Chaplain. While I had only lost 1 unit of S Guards.
- At the end of the game, he only had 1 Landspeeder zooming around, while I still had Dante's full unit and a Stormraven. On top of that, I got First Blood, Slay the Warlord and Linebreaker.
- A wow victory!


3rd mission vs Soo Kai's Ultramarines
His army scares me! It has so much SHOOTING! And I'm supposed to get close to him!? Before we started the game, I wanted to put 2 SGuard units into the Ravens, but he got the Warlord trait that -1 to all my reserves. So that plan was ruined...
- Basically I took a bucketload of bullets which killed all my footsloggers, leaving behind only two Stormravens...
- His casualties were abysmal... 1 Drop Pod, 1 Captain, 1 Honour Guard, 1 Thunderfire cannon. Everything else was alive and kicking.
- BUT, I won First Blood and Slay the Warlord, whereas he only had Slay the Warlord. To get Linebreaker, he had to walk 24inches on T4. So he went for the Relic.
- You should have seen it, two Stormravens, armed with meltas, lascannons, bloodstrikes - weapons that can take down Titans(!), reduced to shooting down Tact marines... well it was worth it... none of the tacts managed to capture the relic, and I won!
(A very lucky) victory for me!

Hahahaha... That 3rd game was damn funny. I can see the pic coz it kinda similar when my WE was fighting Alvin's DE.

The 2nd game was brutal for everyone. I heard a lot of massacres going on at several table.
