That's why u must take 6 Homos + the Template weapon & use the Imperial Eagle dice so that u can almost guaranteed to get AP1 all the time.

Combo with Doom = winner!

Say 5 Pally x 6 Templates = 30 hits. 4+ to wound & Doom, make invul sv only!

my orks need to use battlewagons to roll your grotesques over.

Dang I was sure I replied this... anyway... If I'm gonna take 6 Haemos, I might as well buy a Dark Gate to instant kill a few dudes, a Crucible of Malediction in the hopes of killing a few Grey Knights, an Archangel of Pain to reduce their weapon skill, A Shattershard to hopefully remove a few more GK thru T tests, a Casket of Flensing which is so random, but would probably work as just as well as a Flamer... then i don't even hv to get a Farseer


Anyway, will not do that. Cuz 1 HQ will always be Rakarth... on the other hand, getting 3 Haemos with Dark Gate, Shattershard and maybe an Archangel suddenly doesn't sound so bad. But very expensive...

Yup.. and suddenly you dont have any army to play with. Not that we are as tough as marines when on the receiving end.

Had 2 games vs Soo Kai yesterday. His army was SO SHOOTY it's ridiculous!




1st game was Relic (shut up)

I struggled to get to the otherside of the board. Everything of mine was shot to hell. And no night fighting... gaaaahhhh~
In the end, all that was left was Rakarth + 3 Grotesques, 1 Raider and 2 Wracks. The majority of his army was still alive. He had first kill too. Thankfully, because of his oversight, he missed a chance to move his command squad into my line (so no linebreaker). Rakarth and Grotesques made it to his lines so 1 pt for me. Nobody got the relic, so the game was a draw.


2nd game was Big Guns Never Tire

This time, I added a Haemo with a webway so I could dump the Taloses and Cronos in reserve (for safer delivery). A note: I forgot to dump 1 unit of Wracks, so technically I was fighting with about 100 more points than I should.

The game ended with a victory of 10VP vs 9VP (can consider forfeit la, since the game was unevenly matched). Rakarth + Grotesques died to overwhelming firepower, but thanks to the portal, both Taloses made it into his lines, causing mass havoc hahaha. At the end of the game, both of us had 2 objectives each, he had First Blood, Slay the Warlord and 1 Heavy Support kill. I had Linebreaker, Slay the Warlord and 2 Heavy Support kills.

Heavy Support in Big Guns Never Tire is a Bless, as well as a curse for us DE since our vehicles are damn fragile.

I think all the missions are a bit of a curse to DE. Cuz DE is usually mobile, built to kill, but not built to stay...

So even if a Ravager can hold an objective, it's more survivable when it's moving... same goes for Reavers.

Slight modification to the list, as I realized Rakarth keeps dying before he reaches close combat. So I actually saved points by removing him!

you know? with the current meta moving away from vehicles to foot slogging (exception for DE), your list actually very good as an all comers list.

DE is built to kill, not to stay, so the best option is always to go for the kill. The problem with Coven list is that you have to get close in order to kill, but not very good at it especially in MSU style list.

Maybe it's time you change your built and go for horde bro. Carnival of Flesh works better in hordes.

Ya, that's why now I have a horde of 20 berzerkers. Lol.

horde? can't la. How do you horde wracks? Up to 10 only... Grotesques 10 too...

Of course, but if you take 4-6 x 10 guys.. Thats is hordes already that costed just around 500-800pts with upgrades (12-18 Liquifier guns). Take a WWP or two, and keep them in reserves.

not too good la wracks... 5 of them can't even fight 5 scouts properly...

actually i was thinking, since I can ally with Chaos, why not buy a unit of 30 man cultists as meat shields? Or throw Typhus into the mix and get zombies...

Keeping Rakarth again as I realized I need his extra 'Father of Pain' tokens to make the Grotesques fearless, and bump up the Wracks' usefulness in HTH...
