This will be my latest list to test out.

Fateweaver

Lord of Change
- 1 Lesser Reward (default swap with Staff of Change)
- 1 Exalted Reward (default swap with Grimoire of True Names)
- Mastery Level 3 (2 Divinations, 1 Change)

10 Plaguebearers
10 Plaguebearers
10 Plaguebearers (camp inside ADL)

1 Skull Cannon of Khorne

Daemon Prince of Tzeentch
- Flight
- Armour
- 1 Lesser Reward (default swap with Staff of Change)
- 2 Greater Rewards
- Mastery Level 2 (1 Divination, 1 Biomancy)

Daemon Prince of Tzeentch
- Flight
- Armour
- 1 Lesser Reward (default swap with Staff of Change)
- 2 Greater Rewards
- Mastery Level 2 (1 Divination, 1 Biomancy)

Aegis Defense Line with Quad gun

Total: 1750 points


The only difference here is that there is Grimoire of True Names which should always try to give to Fateweaver, +2 inv to his already 4+ inv saves. So that's 2+ inv saves FMC! With Tzeentch which get to re-roll savings throws of 1s, I think he will be impossible to be taken down! Hehehehe. Smile

That is a nasty combination. Forcing us to take out the LoC first. But even that would be very difficult to accomplish

Yea... the thing about the Grimoire of True Names, is quite flexible.
If let's say I have to deal with a bunch of TH/SS termies, I can use use it on them, -1 to their inv saves. Making them much easier to fail their saves. Even better with Misfortune cast on them. muahahahahahahaha.......

Waah.. very good. But since I'm liking hordes, maybe I'll take Portalglyphs instead.

Really wanna try my Raven Guard against this,if just to see how they fare against such a monster list. Sadly I won't be around this week.

Oops, Grimoire only works on Daemons, so better to remove it and just focus on providing defences to the FMCs.
Have the LOC rolling 2 times on Greater Rewards give him the chances of getting 3+ armor.

As for the DPs, if they gained 3+ armor on the Greater Reward roll, will swap it with a melee specialist weapon to gain the extra attack with their Staff of Change (which is also a specialist weapon).

Problem with horde army is painting all the buggers. I have plan for speed painting the daemons already. Dont know if it will work or not. Those daemons I buy from you will be the trial shot.

can't wait to see your finished result. Smile

Grimoire works on the greater daemons. Just that at first I thought can work on enemies, -1 inv saves on them but it says only can be used on daemons. so can't affect TH/SS termies.

Oh.. That's a good news for my Terminators hahaha.. But it is still very good for providing 2++ for the Fateweaver. 2++ with reroll is too much.

Today was great testing my daemon army vs mech, fighting Doc's mech white scars and subahan's infamous Necron mech.
Doc's army was pretty much 5th style as his army couldn't take down flyers and he didn't have enough shooty units to force ground test on me.

Against Subahan's Necron I was lucky as I got 1st turn, so when his turn to shoot, all my FMC in swooping mode already.

Even though it was night fighting, and his Scarab Swarms have 2+ cover, it meant nothing to the Skull Cannon of Khorne. Smile

Double Tzeentch DP charged the Destroyer Lord with Scarab Swarms. 1 definitely will be mindshackled but the other wiped out the Scarabs making the lord break.

Won both games but definitely need to test against horde armies and DE with their many poison shots as well. At least I know this list won't have problem vs mech la. Smile

New list to test today. Swapping the LOC with a Bloodthirster.
Played wrong last time. Daemon Prince can't take Divinition. So with the lack of access to Prescience, not sure is a good idea to swap out the LOC for a Bloodthirster. Will test it out. Smile

hahaha. yeah. is do or die army. i won't say that is the best competitive build as Tau now can easily get skyfire. FMCs are pretty dead. Sad

New list to test this weekend which is more balanced:

Fateweaver

- Greater Locus of Fury (Gives Rage)

19 Flesh Hounds of Khorne

1 Soul Grinder of Nurgle
- Phlegm Bombardment

1 Soul Grinder of Nurgle
- Phlegm Bombardment

1 Skull Cannon of Khorne

1 Aegis Defense Line
- Quad Gun

Total: 1749 points


So the main deathstar unit is the 19 Flesh Hounds with 3 Khorne Heralds on Juggernaughts. 1 of the Herald will have Grimnoire of True Names, giving the whole unit +2 to their inv saves, giving them all except the bearer 3+ inv saves. Fateweaver's re-roll ensure I get it pulled off. With Scout, can pretty ensure I get 2nd turn assault. That unit has 47 wounds and most of the time with 3+ inv saves. Fateweaver will default take Prescience giving them all re-roll to hit. Smile

2 Soul Grinders and ADL with Quad Guns for anti Air. With Fateweaver's warlord trait, hope can get good roll on the Warpstorm table to get more troops in. Smile

This list is a bit risky since I only have 1 FMC. Hope it won't be so easily taken down by enemy's AA guns. Sad
