@dann: Yea sorry for not replying your post dann. I feel that people would just target the Raider and focus fire the Termies anyway. They are just a sacrificial unit for all intents and purposes. Just meant to hold the line against things like Nob Bikers and Paladins. If they can hold those units for more than a turn i am quite happy with that. Putting the Warlord inside later kena challenged and Power Fist to death....asking for trouble only.

@joe: Yerrr bully lar you Joe. So many fmc. Not many people can deal with that easily.

Shaun's list relies on the sternguards and for good reason as well. However they do not have 2+ armour and no invul. Against units with low AP attacks or shooting, it could get dicey... Just my thoughts...

Now, if only there was a large blast plasma weaponary to use...

@Blee: Thats the Terminators job. The 2+ armour and invuln is all there. They will take heat off the Sternguard. They are a scarier threat comparatively.

lol...i whole-heartedly deny that. my lists are usually more fluffy than cheesy.. ask around the forge, i m like a punching bag for most ppl there..

joe is just joe lar..always in denial. this is the guy who brings abbadon, LR, oblits, berzerkers in a 1k list on the pretext of teaching a noob (that was me btw) how to play his second 40k game.

Lol epic funny reaction. Lord Ak jangan lar so bad to joe hahahaha.

Had a 1500pts game today against Soo Kai. Nearly got tabled by the Ultramarines but a lone surviving Sergeant managed to get a 8" charge through difficult terrain and kill the last 2 Scouts on the Objective claiming it and then hiding behind a Rhino wreckage for the win cause not all of his guns could see the Sergeant. Literally lone Sergeant because i only had the Sergeant and a Quad Gun left on the table by turn 6. The Rhino wreckage is the terrain in the shop with the trees and a destroyed Rhino together.

Final VP was 4-2 to the Crimson Fists

My List
Captain on Bike with Hammer, Storm Shield, Hellfire, Artificer, Digital
Librarian on Bike
Bikes with Melta and Atk Bike with MM, Sergeant with Fist
Tacticals with Plasma Gun and Missile Launcher, Sergeant with Power Axe
5 Assault Termies with 4 Hammers and 1 Claw
Typhoon Speeder
LR Crusader
Aegis Defence Lines with Quad Gun

His List
Captain with Power Fist, Storm Shield and Artificer Armour
Terminators with Cyclones
Tacticals with Flamer and Plasma Cannon
Scouts with Missile Launcher
Tornado Speeders with Heavy Bolter and Assault Cannon
Devastators with Missile Launchers
Thunderfire Cannon

The Biomancy power Endurance on Bikes are quite broken as they are so hard to kill with it up. Rolled it on the Biomancy table and it allowed the Bikes to eat alot of firepower as well as last in combat with the Terminators. If i didnt get it i would probably have been tabled by turn 3 or 4. Honestly didnt deserve to win that game. Especially since i had 2 models left on the table but it shows to never give up until you get TA'ed haha.

I didnt list the amount of guys he had but his army is shooty marines. The firepower was overwhelming especially with a small army like mine is very hard to survive. By turn 4 i think i ada only the Captain, Librarian, Tacticals and Quad Gun left. Very uphill battle but manage to steal the win.

Today played 3 games. 2 against Alvin and 1 against John. Lost all 3 and got TA'ed against Alvin for the last game. Poison against Bikes = dead bikes haha. It was fun but seems to me that i am getting TA'ed alot or nearly wiped out lately. Been surviving with 4-5 models consistently every game =.=

40k seems to be leaning towards shooting now. Back to the drawing board and after some discussion with yip i think i am going back to Dark Angels especially since i already have the Deathwing Shoulder pads for my Terminators and i already built them.

Lack of Plasma and low model count may hurt me and having only the Quad Gun against Flyers is kinda 50-50 but it will change depending on new releases but this is the best i can get for now. Thoughts?

well, like you said 6th is leaning towards shooting. if you plan to take a land raider to get something CC into enemy lines, you must have your army designed around it. But currently the list seems to be having the assault termies in LRC as a sacrificial unit and the rest of your army will be in your deployment zone shooting not supporting the termies.

if i were you, i would have lose the LRC to get another squad of termies with cyclone missile launcher. spam up your shooting so that you force your enemy come towards you. then you can have your termies acting as a counter attack. Hack, they can also shoot too, making them even deadlier.

Taking your advice i changed it up abit. Read the Deathwing Assault Special Rules which allows me to Deep Strike first turn and then Drop Pod the Honour Guard in together. Those 2 units can support each other while the 2nd squad of Terminators march up the board to claim objectives in the middle while babysitting the Tacticals and Devastators. Just no idea what to do with the last 120 points.
